Waiter was smug and laughed at my older friend when he inquired if another type of fish not shown on menu but listed on website. It was quite rude and offensive to my guests. And he cleared plates before everyone was finished . Perhaps he needs a refresher in how to be more hospitable. Aside from the service, everything else about the experience was satisfactory.

Service was horrible. 15 minutes to be served water. Add 15 more minutes to get drinks. On top of the wait, the waitress never asked us if we wanted refills. We had to ask her to refill our drinks. And, she forgot half our order. Unless they improve, we won't return.

They were out of 3 items in the menu early in the evening and the service was very slow. The food that they did have was very good, but don't think I would go there again. They did comp us for the appetizers which was a nice gesture, but for the price point, I would go to a different restaurant.

Everything was great but we hated the MUSIC - if you could call it that!!! I prefer something classical or soft at dinner to go with the beautiful atmosphere - not fast paced or energetic!

This was our third time having dinner at San Lorenzo. We'd brought a good friend to introduce him to what we considered a great, local restaurant. What a disappointment. With only three other tables occupied the service was slow, food just okay, the noise level in the room was very loud and the restaurant added to that level with piped-in music. That noise detracted from the lovely overall ambiance of the room and made it difficult to carry on a normal level conversation.

So very disappointing! We were seated by the host. Server came by and asked for drink orders. 2 coffees and a Chardonnay. She came back with coffees and the Chardonnay which she poured from the bottle into glass-it was the end of the bottle and not even a 4 oz pour for $23! We waited for a long time for our order to be taken and a new person came to take the order. We said we didn't know what happened to our server and she said she didn't either. Finally got our food, had to ask for coffee refills, butter and jam for the biscuits, salt and pepper, more coffee refills. We pretty much had to “flag people down” to get service. This was a special occasion for my family which turned into a complete letdown besides the fact that it is terribly overpriced for food that is ok and service that is subpar.

Great food. Portions are not large but you probably want to order mostly to share. The staff is amazing, very knowledgeable. We spend a lot of time in New Orleans, know all the restaurants, one of the best dining experiences I've had in quite a while there. Make sure to go.

San Lorenzo is a beautiful space inside The St. Vincent Hotel. Food was superb, but service was only average. I have never been in a restaurant that does not have decaf coffee!!! Given the price tag of the restaurant (and the hotel) it was stunning they did not have a single decaf pack of coffee to be brewed.

Super hip atmosphere. Waitstaff was great. The food was just ok which was really disappointing because you are paying for excellent. Desserts were really great. If we were to go back, it would be for drinks and desserts only.

Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype or expectations. At the cost and standard this restaurant seems to hold themselves to, both the service and food were wildly mediocre at best and just disappointing. Not only were we basically sat on top of two other tables, the service was rushed and inattentive and the food was warm at best, around the same temperature as the warm rose. Despite it being Valentines, when a restaurant charges this much for a meal before even arriving at the restaurant, I expect both the service and food to be at least of that caliber. San Lorenzo has a lot to work on if they want to consider themselves in the same category and price range as top New Orleans eateries. I get that nights such as Valentines are really tough on restaurants, but again, when charging as much as they were, I expect them to be able to live up to it. With that said, plenty of trusted palates have raved about San Lorenzo and I will give them another chance.

The restaurant itself is an elegant little jewel box. Staff and food still don't live up to the experience of when this restaurant first opened. It's been opened a couple of years now and it really has never regained the same quality of food and service that justified these prices. Food is still good, not great, wine list has some great Italian bottles, service is inefficient, amnestic, and at times inattentive. On this night NO Bread was served, after two requests, until the second course was half eaten. Half the reason to come here is for the bread, especially the “carte di musica”. Pasta “Pomedoro” and Flounder Piccata were good. Desserts, olive oil cake and bundino, were delicious but took over 20 minutes to come to table. These desserts are premade and only require plating. Refilling water or wine was out of the question on this night. It was empty at 6:15 when we arrived. Filled by 7:30, and stayed so until 9:15 when we were finally able to go home after 3 courses one of which was a shared salad. This was followed by a 10 minute wait for the check. This is a small setting served by 3 and a captain on this night, which should be perfectly suited for customer attention.

This hotel is aesthetically beautiful and bar staff are lovely but that's about where it ends. Stayed here during my wedding. When we asked about an ironing board we were told (quite curtly) by the staff at reception "we might be able to find one" they seemed annoyed that we had the audacity to ask. Beds are uncomfortable which is surprising given the price. We weren't notified about a flea market happening in the car park the day of our check out and were lucky we JUST made it out before our car would have been unable to move. The clincher is months after my stay when myself and my credit card were in another country they made a fraudulent charge on it. This hotel is not trustworthy.

hotel saint vincent is a vibe. the aesthetic is sooo cute and charming, the staff is wonderful. I enjoyed my room. The beds are incredibly comfortable. My only complaint is the lighting, I wish it was brighter and there was more. It’s very sexy in the room LOL. The italian margarita is the best margarita i’ve ever had in my life. I did expect a little more for the rate but I enjoyed this property. Super happy I was able to experience it.
