We stopped by on Christmas Eve searching for an item to finish our Holiday Shopping. We are used to shopping at grocery stores that serve the Latino culture, but we’re disappointed in their service. They were not very nice, and it was disappointing. We will not be shopping or recommending this location.

Awesome place to get food and fresh vegetables and fruits it’s even in their slogan WE SPEAK FRESH And they live up to it ! Amazing customer service from the managers very hospitable helped load grocery’s into my car

My favorite thing about Ideal are the marinated meats at the butcher counter. It's the easiest way to quickly throw together a grill out on the fly with tender, flavor packed meats! Also available are fruits and spices as well as pastries that are common in the Latin/Hispanic community you can't find anywhere else.

I love everything about this market, the music, kindness, pan dulce, pastel de tres leches, prepared foods, cuts of meat, seasoned meats and poultry, fresh veggies, cheeses, paletas, pico de gallo, and the. Best news of all is at the cash register!!!

If you are not Hispanic/Mexican or speak Spanish Don't go. They are not friendly. I went to the hot food counter to order a plate and 3 Tacos. The ladies refused to serve me.. I then asked for a manager that never showed up. Then I went to the Register asked for a manager after waiting 20 minutes. Still no manager..

Required a street car ride from the French Quarter to get here but didn't take too long. Stocked with all the Mexican/Latin American groceries you could ever need. Stocked up on my Mexican chillies

Ideal Market is a Great Latin Store, the store is always full stock and clean and fresh, their Meats are amazing and top notch, #1 stores in Louisiana

Well stocked for a local grocery. Search engines mark it as a purveyor of ethnic cuisine, that means Hispanic, but little else. Parking available but sparse. Service minimal

Sorry but I found the produce to be poor quality. I was looking for garbanzo beans and they don't carry them. There is a small variety of dried beans which was nice. I found nothing else in this tiny neighborhood market to be appealing. Service clerk couldn't smile for the life of herself. I'll find a better market ... so should you.

Everything I needed to cook authentic Mexican food. From tomatillos, to azul maseca, arepa flour, Meat selection is on point. Cheap and a great selection.
