If I could leave 0 stars, I would. The owner of this company is so rude, and had a disgusting attitude towards other customers

Thank you Kevin for helping us today. Your store is magical. The selection is brilliant and well vetted. We appreciate how well you respect the integrity of the antiques in your care. Many well wishes to you and your future adventures.

Listen. There are people in this world who you want to sit down and talk to. My wife and I stopped by here on a bike trip down magazine st and wow... So much beauty, and knowledge, and passion. These guys are effervescent, and a relief from the sad state of sales these days. If you can, this is the place to find something unique and very very real for your home. My wife loved everything she saw, and because of it I'm looking for a raise.

My family and I were just browsing upstairs and were told that "we prefer that you browse downstairs, upstairs is only for people who are interested in buying things". How rude! Not really sure how you're supposed to know if you want to buy something until you look around...

Do yourself a favor and stay as far from this store as you can. If I could give zero stars I would. I honestly don't know how this place is still in business considering how nasty the owner is. I sat down in the chair opposite his desk that would normally be used by customers doing business. I just sat there briefly while my mother finished shopping because there were no other customers in the store and it was the only available seat. The owner told me to get out of the chair so I immediately complied but then he launched into a rant about how rude it was to sit down if I wasn't purchasing anything. He screamed at me and said that my rudeness shows that I am a "commoner" who doesn't belong in the store and when I responded that I only sat there because there were no other customers he called me the C word and got out of his chair to literally chase me and my mother out of the store. He also called my mother an a******* We were completely in shock when we left. We were so frightened and ran down the street to get away. I advise anyone reading this to stay away from this store as the owner is quite honestly a frightening person and might have mental health issues.

If I could give zero stars I would. The owner is cranky, mean and pissy. All along Magazine street we met beautiful people. Kevin Stone is so full of himself he's a snob. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere where folks enjoy what they do. Go home Kevin.... You're outdated.

Let me say this, Kevin Stone Antiques is really the Louvre of New Orleans. I am transported each and every time I've been in. The owners are knowledgeable funny, intelligent, and completely engaging with their tales of going on "The Find". It's a place that contains such a plethora of REAL Antiques I'm a bit afraid to breathe whilst navigating my way through two floors of exquisite beauty. If you are a real collector and respect knowledgable, honest Antique dealers RUN to Kevin Stone Antiques in New Orleans you won't find better furniture or better dealers.

I have been a collector for many years. I was thrilled to purchase a couple of pieces from these guys. Kevin and his partner Mark were so easy to deal with. I purchased a large 19th century cabinet. They delivered the cabinet to my home assembled it and completely helped us to arrange the other furniture to look good with the new addition. I hope to buy more in the near future. I love the pride they have in the items they offer. T

I will never return, and as local I was ashamed that my guest were exposed to the behavior of the owner. A member of our party was sitting on the chairs on the porch outside. A man who I can only assume to be the owner politely asked him to not sit on the chairs. He apologized, stood up and assumed that was the end of things. The owner then walked into the store and announced wildly that our friend was "f-ing stupid." And proceeded to offend everyone in our party. As we left, the owner followed us outside and yelled at us, calling us white trash and "Alabama scum" despite my Louisiana birth and perlis polo. I have never been more offended, nor ashamed of my home town. Men like this should not be involved in customer service, and I am not surprised that his reviews are atrocious. I would recommend that no one visit this store. However, the French bulldogs in the cage were very friendly.

So we must have looked like quite a pair, dragging our sweaty selves in after hoofing it around Magazine Street for what felt like a decade. In my cargo shorts and T-shirt and guzzling a large jug of water, the proprietor must have thought we were there for some free air conditioning. Bad call, Mr. Proprietor. Yes, we were hot and sweaty. Yes, the air conditioning felt good. And yes, I have money to spend. Yes, I collect antique furniture. And if you had taken the time to even acknowledge me, you might have found out that I've gone so far as to use dendrochronology to authenticate a few of my pieces. Serious collectors come in all shapes and sizes, and it's dangerous to judge people that walk through your door like that. The pieces I saw in our brief walkthrough looked to be good quality, but this shop isn't the only game in town and you can definitely find better service.

Avoid these complete jerks at all cost! There are many lovely antique shops along Magazine. Kevin Stone Antiques is NOT one of them! I recently purchased a trumeau mirror from Kevin Stone for $5500+. When the mirror arrived it was clearly NOT the authentic age claimed and had been very badly altered. I called Kevin and told him that I was unhappy with the piece and asked if he would be willing to issue me a store credit to be used in the future. He could not have been more rude and told me that, "he was in this business to make money" then hung up on me. These guys are SCAMMERS. BEWARE ALL!
