Awesome our min pins were very comfortable there. We travel as we are Owner Operators and I noticed the boys need rabbies updated since we travel to Canada. We this vet was next to our delivery I called 5 days before delivery and they got us in. Highly recommend for their professionalism, kindness and making the boys feel happy.

Staff was awful, rude and snobby. Do not, for peace of mind, take your beloved pet here. I went in just to meet and talk to doctor about my dogs needs etc. it was a 1/2 hour consult. They made me wait 45 minutes and said that my appt. is not guaranteed...huh??? When I finally talked to the Doctor she was so rude I just walked out. It was awful.

I don’t think I can overstate how amazing Dr Johanna Ecke is as our family vet. She and the entire staff have taken care of our pets as if they are their own. They are always completely informative and help us make informed decisions about care! The new facility is amazing and I love the whole new feel, but as always, the real quality at this clinic is in the amazing people that care for our family pets. Thank you ALL and I sincerely hope folks who are looking for a vet try Dr Jo. She is always above and beyond in her treatment of and attention to our family! Thank you!

The doctor my puppy had was absolutely amazing! Dr. Bridget would take the time to let Roux get comfortable with her every time we came in. It truly warmed my heart. But Dr. Bridget has left unfortunately and the last doctor Roux saw didn't take any time at all with her. (Which is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars) So we will try a different doctor next time. The front desk girls are always so nice and helpful! They get Rouxs meds refilled very quickly. They also have gotten us in for an appt when we needed to be seen out of the blue.Pricey, but over all great and I'm willing to pay whatever I need to as long as Roux is happy and comfortable with her doctor and they are meeting her needs!

I was in town for a short time and needed to get some stitches removed from my dogs ear. I was unable to get them all out on my own, so I called the Magazine Street Animal Clinic. Not only were they able to get me a next day appointment, everyone was super friendly and helpful and they didn't charge me a dime. This place is awesome!!

We've been going to Magazine Street Animal Clinic for a little over a year now, and they provide excellent care for all of our fur babies! The location is convenient and I really appreciate the off street parking located behind the clinic. Friendly staff, great doctors, top notch care.

While the vets themselves have all been nice, the front office team and anyone answering the phone have, without fail, been rude. Every. Single. Encounter. On two occasions the costs discussed were not accurate to the final bill. When I asked the staff at the desk to explain how the visit cost 85% more than quoted, they couldn't provide an answer. I asked specifically for the person who I'd spoken to on the phone less than 3 hours prior and turns out I was speaking with the same person. They offered no explanation and furthermore, no apology. My dog has received consistent care there, but their team spoils the experience.

My dog is almost 4 years old and I have always taken him to MSAC but unfortunately I am going to have to officially cut ties. They have always been consistent with finding the most expensive ways to cure or help anything, but I will also say the care has also ALWAYS been exceptional. These are very talented and caring vets. So, I dealt with it. However, since they have teamed up with or are now affiliated with The East Riverside Vet Hospital, it's no longer tolerable. Last week I called MSAC to make a reservation to have my dog boarded there for the weekend. The woman who answered the phone told me that my dog was also due for vaccinations. Fine, no problem. They recommend he get quite a few so I asked what he had to have and that was two different ones. They are also the two vaccinations that are required for him to go to his daycare. So, good deal. I am looking at $40 a night to board and two $20 vaccinations. That would be $120 for the weekend. The woman on the phone said that my dog was also due for an annual visit, I asked if I could pass on that for now (my dog has ear infections and sees the vet often), and she said that was no problem. So, before we hung up I reiterated that the total would be $120 and she agreed. Then, I take my dog to drop him off on the way out of town and the woman at the front desk (a different woman I presume) checks him in and says that he's down for two vaccinations and an annual visit. I say that the annual visit was waived, she says they can't do that. So, fine - now I'm up to $180 for the weekend. OK. No problem. While I'm out of town, I get the report for his annual visit. I take a look and see that there are all these extra tests, etc on there that I didn't agree to. So, I call and yes - my total for the weekend (including boarding) is now up to $300. So, after a lengthy convo, I ask to speak to a manager, one calls me back (who was very friendly and helpful) - after explaining everything she reduced my bill back to $190. I do appreciate the effort to remedy this but I have had "surprise" charges the past two times I've boarded. Enough. I had to waste a decent amount of time on my Saturday to try and remedy this, while I was out of town on vacation. It just isn't ok to sneak charges and not ask first. I love my dog and want to do everything for him but not everyone can just make a leap from $120-$300 a weekend with no worries. It's just become too stressful because of costs. Again, the vets are very talented and I do appreciate ALL of the care over the years. It has always been a very expensive place to take my dog, but enough is enough. This was a very hard decision to make.

I really can't imagine a more perfect fit for our senior Labrador retriever than Dr. Jo. She was there for our family during her final years and final tail wags, and with comfort and good advice, perspective and compassion when the time came to say goodbye. Looking back today on the 1-year anniversary of our dear Dia's passing, we thank all the staff for your kindness and care, your easy resources during our grief, and the support and check-ins that continued afterwards. We are lucky to have found you all.

Have had 5 animals cared for here over the last 10 years. Like my vet very much. However, they have gotten too busy or have decided to prioritize profits over care. One of our dogs needed to be seen and rather than be given an appointment (offered one in over a week and this was a sick pet visit not a routine check up), we were told to drop her off in the morning and she would be seen when someone had time. That occurred at 730pm. Not acceptable. I can think of many ways they could handle this differently- building time for sick visits into each vets schedule, having one or more of the vets each day have options of their schedules blocked to handle the sick visits. Might mean some decreased revenue but definitely better care and customer satisfaction. We'll be looking for other veterinary care.

I moved and needed a new vet. I was impressed with how quickly they got my cat in for a checkup. On the first visit Dr Theresa found a polyp deep in my cats ear that no other vet had ever found. She performed a surgery to remove it, and for the first time in years he has stopped scratching endlessly on that ear. I have seen both Dr Theresa and Dr Amy, they are both top notch and provided excellent care for my senior boy! Office is very clean and welcoming and the cost is reasonable, they tell you up front what the charges will run.

THEY. WERE. WONDERFUL! Showed up with a hedgehog with little notice, was seen quickly and professionally! And the cost for a visit for a new exotic patient, on an emergency basis, including check-up, observation, stool sample and meds was $150 -- /less/ than the cost of her annual check-up for an ongoing client at the Avian and Exotic vet in Metarie! That vet is really good too...but I think I will be switching to Magazine St. Animal Hospital for all of our pets!
