Horrible. They charged me 250$ for no reason (saying that it was for parking) and won’t refund. I disputed this with Amex. Rude receptionist hanging the phone on you after stealing your money!

Horrible experieince. Pretty disgusting rooms. Stayed on night and left to go to a better hotel. Never received the $165 deposit for incidentals back. Called several times and it was never resolved. Worst hotel experience ever.

Service: The staff are the best part of Maison Dupuy! From housekeeping to the wait staff, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Joshua who worked in the bar really went out of his way to make us feel welcome.
Rooms/Hotel: The rooms are not all renovated as the ones depicted on their website, so just be aware that some of their rooms aren't as advertised. We booked three Deluxe King suites and only one of the rooms was as depicted on the website. The other two rooms were much smaller and quite dated. One of us even had a nightstand that was falling apart.
Location: That said, everything is kept very clean and when visiting a city like New Orleans, you probably won't spend much time in the rooms anyway. The hotel itself has live music Thursday to Saturday and the Location is FANTASTIC! Every event, restaurant or activity we went to was at max a 15 minute walk from the hotel. When we went (end of October), the weather was still great and so after walking in the heat, we were able to cool down at the pool.

Nearby activities: Check out Bloody Mary's Tours and New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum. If you're Cafe Beignet is also just a walk away and Oceana Grill had some great food.
Walkability: Great location! Bourbon street was literally up the block and most activities and tourist destinations are just walking distance. The farthest we walked was 15 minutes.
Food and drinks: They offer a basic menu in the cafe and some specialty cocktails. The bartender Joshua makes a mean dirty martini!

4 stars, no face towels, and our shower ceiling leaked.

We stayed here during a very busy weekend. The rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable. The location is in a quiet area. I want to recognize Jasmine at the front desk. She was helpful when we called early in the week with a question and even more helpful and friendly upon arrival!

It's an older building. Really great location. Really great staff. But the rooms and the hotel itself leave something to be lacking. Parking was $50 a day when we went. The elevators sound like they're on the verge of crashing. The "bistreaux" for breakfast is a glorified IHOP that is 3 times the price. It's a beautiful building with a gorgeous courtyard. But at the price point for the room, there are better options.

The lobby and pool were very, very nice. The room itself seemed to need much more care. The toilet ran constantly and the shower pressure was way too intense. We were also disappointed that the hotel advertised having a fitness center, but the TV didn't work and there were only two machines - nothing else worked. There were one or two weights, but they were way too heavy for me to lift. The exercise ball was deflated. The bench was probably a liability considering how unstable it was. We loved the location and the staff (despite one issue with getting additional towels) were great. Overall, the staff were very, very friendly. If the other updates/repairs were made we'd definitely come back. We really liked the location - it was close to everything but not so close to hear any of it.

Arrived on a Friday night after a very long flight. The reception area was mayhem. Music blasting, people spilling out of the bar, waiting for the lifts or running back and to, like kids at a school disco. The whole area smelled of stale cooking fat. We checked in and escaped to our room. It was at a far corner of the hotel away from the lift, which we thought was a positive.
The room was disappointing at first inspection but we were exhausted and didn't want to go back to the chaos of reception. After 3 nights in the room though, we had ample opportunity to see all its faults.
Broken lock on door. Broken cupboard door to fridge. Fridge switched off and had to get behind furniture to switch it on. Broken handle? over bath area. Curtains coming away from rail. View into a narrow internal courtyard with windows streaming with condensation. Mismatched bedside lamps. Broken hallway light fixture. Grim carpet. Only one accessible plug socket in the room. No phone charging points.
We couldn't get the TV to show standard channels so we asked for help at reception with this. Someone came quickly and sorted that for us. Beds were changed daily but would you put a top sheet on a guest's bed with an obvious stain on it?

Location is nice because is basically in the center so you can get to most places quickly or can walk if you choose to.
On the other hand…
As much as they charge to stay here, it needs to be a whole lot better. Better in customer service, communication, and cleanliness.
I was originally supposed to have a deluxe king room with a balcony but for whatever reason was moved to the William Faulkner VIP suite at no extra cost. You would think, “awesome what a great deal” no! The room mirrors were dirty, the guest area furniture was old and worn. There are no light fixtures only lamps so the room is very dark and dim. The bathroom and bathing area were nice and “look” luxurious but the jacuzzi tub is just a tub because the jets don’t work and I had to wipe the tub down myself with disinfectant because it was not very clean. I also was not left any soap and had to go down and ask for some because my room phone did not work.
There is no cable only streaming apps that you either have to log into with your own credentials or buy. If you choose to do neither then you’re limited to Tubi or Pluto TV.
My room was booked MONTHS in advance and the deposit was paid over a month prior to the actual stay on 10/17/24. I spoke with multiple people on separate occasions about my total due upon checking in and was never once told about the incidental hold or that parking is $50 A NIGHT! I was told one price and that was my final amount due and that everything was included in that total. I actually didn’t check in until Friday morning after midnight due to hitting bad traffic and accidents while driving in. When I saw the extra charge of $169 I questioned it and was then told about incidental fees BUT since I was parking there I probably wouldn’t get it all back because the parking would come from it if no damage is found to the room.
I think it is absolutely absurd that your guest are charged per night for parking when they have no other parking options other than the hotel garage that just so happens to also be valet. I could see a flat rate MAYBE $50 your whole stay but PER NIGHT! That is crazy when we're already paying to stay there!
The elevator sounds like it's going to give out at any moment. I was scared I would get stuck everytime I got on.
Over all I was not pleased and would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I book another stay. When a worker can tell a customer something on multiple occasions and when the customer brings it up it is not honored, I have no faith in that business and will not return or recommend them.
Rooms: Very old and outdated furniture. No actual light fixtures only lamps and natural light from the windows.
Noteworthy details: It is VERY old and outdated and in DESPERATE need of renovations. Because it’s so old it looks and feels even more dirty.

Dear future customers, I feel compelled to share my experience with Madison Dupuy Hotel and Jcollection Reservations. Unfortunately, I must advise that this establishment may not be suitable for anyone seeking reasonable service but especially MILITARY PERSONNEL.
I live in Florida, and during Hurricane Milton, which caused significant damage in Central Florida, my flight to New Orleans was canceled by the airline. I reached out to Madison Dupuy Hotel and Jcollection Reservations for a refund due to these unforeseen circumstances, but their response has been disappointing and lacking in empathy.
As a disabled veteran, I can't help but wonder how they treat others in difficult situations. My experience raises serious concerns about their appreciation for MILITARY SERVICE. I strongly advise against booking with this hotel; it seems they do not value or respect those who serve.

Upon checking in, my husband and I were assigned a room. We got to the room. The door was unlocked and not cleaned. We got reassigned a room and had to get new keys. The new room was clean, but no towels and the tv didn't work. We called the front desk with no answer. We tried the keys before going back down. One key didn't work. They took the key and redid it. The key still didn't work. We went for dinner, came back and still no towels. I picked up towels from the front desk. Also by the front desk was a gas leak smell. I mentioned it to them. We came with another couple. The same thing. The tv didn't work and no towels. They asked four times to fix the tv and get towels. Finally after the fourth time their tv got fixed and they got towels. I am here my second night and still no tv, but while I was out, they gave us clean towels. The gas leak smell is still there. The lady said it was from the gas lanterns. She said she would tell the engineer. It's an older hotel, could be much cleaner, but the employees were very nice.

The outside is authentically New Orleans. This had the heart, soul, and charm that many of the buildings in the French quarter have. Truly rich with history and depth. This hotel is located right in the French quarter, so walking around town was made easy.
The pool area/courtyard was insanely beautiful. Towels were provided near the swimming area.
This is where it takes a turn. This place is in MAJOR need of renovation. I mean there are stains everywhere (the walls, floors, sinks, sheets, beds, etc) the carpet had debris all over. We changed rooms due to the AC/Hvac unit not working (it was over 86 degrees and humid outside) Doors wouldn’t shut properly. Furniture falling apart.
With a lot of TLC this place could seriously be the he most beautiful hotel in the entire French quarter.
Unless serious renovations take place, we wouldn’t go back.

Wow! I've stayed here before and had a great experience. This time around, September 13, 2024, it was terrible. The room smelled like mildew, and then there was mold. The carpet was stained from being wet. I spoke to Jazmine at the front about this, and she said every room gets wet after a rain. 50% of the carpet in my room was wet. There was no detail cleaning done between bookings. This place just needs a huge renovation.
Safety: Second time staying here and never had an issue.
Walkability: This location is extremely nearby to everything.
