Only reason I’m giving it even 1 star is because the cashier girl was really nice. I called prior to scheduling my appointment for a shot. I wasn’t told how much it was going to cost without insurance. The website didn’t say either. I drove almost 2 hours for them to tell me it was going to be $197-$250 FOR A SHOT. I’ve been on the shot for a year & a half & got it from another location that has since closed down. This was the next location I was directed to. I had a panic attack & spoke to my husband, who reluctantly agreed to pay this time since we had no choice & no prior warning. I told the lady at the check in desk we couldn’t pay more than the price given ($197-$250). She then looked at a chart & said “it’s going to be $197” I said “$197?” To confirm. She said “yes” I asked if I could pay now & she said wait until after the doctor sees me. Which I had a bad feeling about. I scheduled my appointment 2 weeks in advance for 2:40. I didn’t get a room until 3:20. Girl came in & asked me questions & put me in their system. Then the doctor didn’t come in until 45 minutes later. Asked me multiple questions the other girl already asked. I knew they were going to try to charge me for consultation so I just kept repeating that I already knew everything & have been on the shot for almost 2 years. Then I went to pay & the girl tells me it’s $259. After they told me up front it was $197, which I confirmed with them before cancelling the appointment & she told me yes. $259 for A SHOT that takes 60 seconds to give me is INSANE. Then the girl said “I know they told you it was $197 up front. So do you want to pay that now & the rest later on your account?” So she confirmed I was told $197. Apparently $197 was just for the shot & the extra $62 was scammed out of me I assume because the doctor tried to have a consultation with me even though I kept telling her I already knew everything & she kept insisting on telling me everything anyways. Definitely got scammed for more money for sure. I reluctantly paid it because what else was I supposed to do? I proceeded to walk into the waiting room & saw it was empty & they took care of everyone else before me. Which is why I was in a room for 45min even though I scheduled my appointment 2 weeks in advance & checked in 5min early than my appointment time. Well obviously my husband was furious, given I was told $197 when I went back in to the check in desk & confirmed the price before proceeding with my appointment. When he went in to confront them, they lied & said “we told her about all that” no. They said $197-$250 originally but when I expressed we couldn’t afford it, they told me it was just gonna be $197, which is why I proceeded with the appointment, instead of walking out. After everything they told me, I repeated EVERYTHING back to them for confirmation every single time & they said yes every time. They definitely scam you to get more money out of you. I shouldn’t have paid nearly $300 for A SHOT. Planned Parenthood is supposed to be a charity to help people who can’t afford these things. Everyone is greedy & money hungry nowadays. It’s really sad & according to the other reviews I’ve read, many other people also experienced the long wait/neglect & expensive prices. Do not go to this location if you don’t have insurance!! Look for another location & demand they tell you the cost ahead of time. Or order through the app. Yall be careful!

I’ve never felt more comfortable in a doctor’s office! I didn’t get the ladies’ names who did my vitals and drew my blood, but they were awesome. My nurse practitioner, Kelly Baquet, gave me advice and tips. She answered all questions thoroughly. They made me feel at home. I was not judged. I will be back, and I have recommended this location to my family and friends.

Came here for a routine checkup. Kelly is really chill, and Ms. Pat was an angel sent from heaven after I was about pass out after getting my blood drawn lol. Only difficult thing is scheduling. Some insurances are accepted by PP but they'll say "out of network" if you schedule online. Nothing that calling up to schedule can't fix. Other than that, really good visit!

Everyone here was very kind, answered the questions I had to their best ability, and did their best to make me feel comfortable. Felt like a positive environment!

I have been coming here for years. Started when the location was on Magazine way back. They are so much more personable and welcoming than any other women's health doctors I've seen throughout my life. Everyone is so kind. The facilities are super clean and updated. Wait times short. Every time I come here I learn something new about available services and/or what I should continue to do for my body as I age. I'm so grateful.

I never really had any problems with getting my birth control through planned parenthood. My appointments are sometimes slow & behind schedule time.

I made an appointment for 10:20. Came at 10:05 (with the “Drs” DOOR DASH driver .) immediately was buzzed in.Got called to the back and asked basic questions at 11:00. Got my blood drawn & Was told to put my urine sample in the mailbox. There was some one else’s sample already in there. So contamination was definitely possible. I Got Forgotten about in a room for over an hour ( the “Dr ” and assistant thought this was hilarious, i did not) . in that time I could hear atleast 3 women praying and gossiping about pregnancy. Discussing the weather and what they were ordering for lunch. Then the “ Dr” came in and asked me questions i had already answered. She was also rude and rushed. They are so unprofessional that when the rude CNA asked me was I on any medications, I answered honestly. Then they tried to send me out a prescription for my anxiety medication i have been on for years, on top of it all I paid $200 JUST to get tested. No care, no personal help, nothing. Just a cash grab. So sad they pretend to advocate for women. Save your money. These women do not care anymore. Planned parenthood used to be for the peoplesCare , but now it’s religious people hiding in scrubs to trap new victims .

I LOVE this planned parenthood. The providers spend the time needed to ensure a thorough and caring visit. Videos in the waiting room educate about consent and sex education and there are posters and quotes around the place that help it feel inclusive and supportive of personal choice, bodily autonomy, interracial families and LBGTQ inclusivity. I love my doctors here and the whole team! Professional and caring.

y'all need to let people know when their insurances are out of network before the time of appointment. absolutely insane getting smacked with over $200 in fees you were blissfully unaware of because nobody bothered to contact you. i spoke with three separate people over the phone before my appointment and not a single one bothered to say anything. the NP and workup staff were great and it's a shame that i'm rating so low because i really did like the medical care given. but this is just absurd.also, my insurance claims they are in network. so i have no idea what really is going on, but this was easily preventable from the clinic's side.

Made a follow up appointment after my vasectomy here and cleared the timing of it with two separate people (a nurse and a receptionist), which I have in writing on MyChart. I showed up to the appointment and was told both of those people were in error telling me what they did, and that an analysis could not be performed until exactly 12 weeks after. One hour round-trip to get there and two hours of PTO from my work wasted by incompetence.

Made appointment regarding emergency situation via phone. I informed rep on phone that I have a medical exception complete with a letter from my doctor stating so. I was put on hold so she could check with her supervisor. I was told that since the city is no longer under a mandate and since I have a letter from my doctor that this would not be an issue. I arrived for my appointment and since I was unable to wear a mask, I was directed to wait in a separate room. I waited over 20mins. After that I was called back to the reception area to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor told me that it didn't matter what I was told via phone, they were refusing to see me because I am unable to wear a mask. I asked since I was here for an emergency situation, what could be done. She told me that I could be treated there if I decided to wear a mask. I again showed her the letter from my doctor stating my medical exception and she refused to look. She literally treated me like having this conversation was an inconvenience to her day.

Fantastic staff, wonderful people, safe, clean, and all do so much to help even someone like me get vaccines/tests + keep educated. This PP provides what local NOLA needs vs what many outside Orleans Parish don’t understand as they don’t live in Cities like NOLA. All said let’s all help and support the local PP nearest where u live like this one for me.
