PODs chose to deliver their materials where it blocked the sidewalk rather than delivering in the driveway as advised. Their customer service is a call center that takes 30-45 minutes to speak with anyone, when they were alerted to the issue they offered to remove the POD in 2 days, then the call dropped. After the 2 days passed, the POD remained in its hazardous location, another 2 hour call to their customer service allowed me to reserve a pickup in another 2 days. Once the POD was removed I noticed that my credit card was charged for a month of rental, and delivery, as well as charged for another POD at a location that I did not request.

Never, ever use PODS. My sister used them to help her move states. They delivered her POD early and put it in a place that was impossible for her to access her belongings. They left it in front of a hedge with less than a foot of access between the POD and the hedge. When she called to get them to fix it, they gave her the run around and said it would be nearly a week before anyone could come and fix it. After she got them to agree to send someone sooner, they locked her out of her account. I have advised her to back charge everything and tell her bank to block any attempts to run her card. A company that is petty enough to lock out a customer who was trying to get that company to fix their mistake is a company that should be run out of business.

PODS has left their empty container in front of my house, blocking my parking spot. Nobody answers the phone, there is no way to get rid of this thing. The PODS renter said he put in a request almost two weeks ago to have it removed but still it sits right in front of my door. There does not appear to be any people working for this company.

Do not waste your money on this service. This is the most unprofessional and unorganized business I have ever attempted to work with. They missed the scheduled drop off date, the scheduled move date, and as I'm writing this, they are 2 days late in picking the containers up. No updates are given and good luck trying to get an associate on the phone or through their chat service. The commercials make this process seem so easy and stress free, but the service they provide makes it anything but.

First POD had cracked roof…did a swap & was double charged…received partial refund now fighting to get remaining refund!!!! TERRIBLE customer service!!!!!!

We moved our belongings from California to Louisiana. Jose the driver who dropped off and picked up our pod was excellent. Our pod was ready and in a convenient spot on the day scheduled for retrieval of our belongings. The staff was great and made everything as easy as possible.

Portland, ME office has been the worst experience ever, delaying the final delivery and pick up, and thus raising their total price and the costs of living without my things. PODS is nice for other states, not recommended at all in Maine.

There apparently was a water leak in Pod and furniture was damaged. PIDS has done nothing at all to address the claim I submitted weeks ago.

I am departing from New Orleans and headed to the northeast and I rented a container from Pods for the trip. I was blown away by the great convenience and incredible skills and customer service of our "Pod Man" Rocky. The guy had crazy skills with the machine and his customer service was top notch. Great guy! I can only hope the experience is as good at the other end of the move! I will update this review when the move is completed on the other end. So far, I highly recommend Pods. :)edit: well, what started like a dream ended like a nightmare. After arriving in Providence, Rhode Island, the pod was delivered but I was told I needed a permit in order for the pod to be dropped off in front of the property I am renting. This would have been nice to know beforehand and I feel that a professional moving service should have given me a heads up about this since they had my destination address for 3 weeks. A permit takes 3-5 business days to obtain from the city of Providence. And Pods is limited in terms of the delivery windows/dates they are able to schedule. Long story short, we now have to wait another 8 days to receive our pod. Never again. U-Haul for me from now on. I will leave this review at 5* solely for Rocky's service in New Orleans. I will leave a separate review for the Providence experience elsewhere.

I wish I was told some places don't allow street placement for pods. My apartment does not have an accessible driveway or parking for a pod and it led to a very poor experience moving into a new beautiful city. Lack of disclosure cost me more money and time that I had not accounted for and felt like a convenient way to make a sale that I may have otherwise not opted into. The service was great, but my overall experience was ruined by something that could've easily been disclosed, allowing me to plan accordingly.

DO NOT USE. Had Pod for 9 months and called 2 days after they billed me for July (which I had no problem paying for July). I called them around 7/16/22 and told them I wanted to have it picked up ASAP. The first available date was 8/16/22. I confirmed they would not bill me for the month of August even though it would take them several weeks to get it picked it up. They billed us $256.62 anyway and when I requested a refund, I was told i didn't call quick enough. Its now in a different department being looked at. I had to call my bank to dispute charge. I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

Believe the bad reviews. This company is the worst. Every person you talk to tells you something different. Not once did a phone call result in less than 30-40 minutes of my life and being transferred no less than 3 times. I was told I had a refund processed only to find out later there was no refund and that person doesn't even have the ability to give a refund. PODS, are your people even trained? Do they know what they can and cannot do? The answer is No. Best of all is when they take money out of your account without warning, whenever they want, no notice at all. Having a heart attack first thing in the morning seeing PODS has dipped their hand in once again draining my bank account after I'd already paid in full. They double charged my move and I had to call the bank to have them blocked. Billing process and invoices make no sense at all. One week, I have three invoices, two weeks later I see seven are listed. Just trying to cover themselves. I had an accounting professional look at my bills/invoices and they said they had never seen such a convoluted mess. Avoid this stress for yourself and book elsewhere!

The delivery driver was top notch, with customer service as his primary goal. I would hire him tomorrow. The pick up driver mostly grumbled about the work, what they are supposed to do, complaining that the “customer service oriented delivery driver didn’t do things to his liking….pretty unimpressive but he did delay our pick up so that we could finish. I understand why the reviews are scattered. Five stars for the efforts of the delivery driver and -1 for the pickup. Let’s see how PODS deliver 900 miles later…but that’s another crew.

If you want to spend all day on a phone talking to 20 different customer reps in different parts of the world with NO PULL on fixing anything then get PODS.PODS warehouses have no direct phone number so I had to drive 2 hours to get to one of my PODS because the Website is always down and no one over the phone can get the system to work. they always say NO ONE IS PICKING UP......The site is always down. When I was ready for the PODs to be delivered the site is down tells you to call rep. Rep says they site is not letting them set up delivery they had to do a OFFBOOKs scheduling that will not show up in the system!!!!!! WHAT company is this. FIX your technology!When asked for some kind of refund I was promised 100 off for the deliver fee....they CHARGED ME 100% and said they dont see the refund. Then you talk to rep and they said NO person over the phone has the power to refund or give discounts....SO OUCH they LIED to me.....I talked to 15+ people over my 4 month PODs usage. IT WAS HORRIBLE@@!!!DO NOT USE PODS. OTHERS OUT THERE ARE WAY BETTER BASED ON OTHER COMMENTS FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY,
