“Visiting NOLA for the first time (from Canada!) so we were a bit lost shipping with USPS. Karen helped us through the process and she was very friendly. Thanks Karen!”
“Great service every time. Have my PO Box at this location and receive my mail and packages timely. Whenever I need assistance, usually receive it with a friendly smile.”
“Un-bias review. Okay, so the building itself isn’t dirty. It’s actually clean. It’s located next door to a bridge/very busy, drug infested abomination of a gas station (Keys). I’d imagine it is a nightmare to keep a building spotless with needles, homeless people and trash thrown everywhere constantly by customers at the gas station! All and all, the lobby is great. The carriers are decent but some are extremely careless with delivery. The clerks in the lobby are an absolute DREAM to work with. The lovely ladies try their absolute best to assist customers with there issues. A lot of Karen’s in the comments don’t realize the delivery problems are on the CARRIERS and not the people who work in the lobby. Overall, Bywater is extremely efficient and helpful.”
“The post office operates fine. Usually the packages arrive and are available timely. However, if you have issues with missing packages or delays, the fault is with the delivery services. If you use Amazon delivery, it will autocorrect the last 4 digits of your zip code to 70148-3520 when the real delivery route should be 70148-0001. If Amazon detects you are a p.o box they will send you on the 3-5 day usps shipping. The problem occurs when the website does not detect that your address is a p.o box address, and you might get a carrier that is not USPS, which is the only one that guaranteed delivers to p.o. box. Many drivers do not deliver to p.o boxes because they're used to boxes that don't accept parcels from other carriers except usps. The problem worsens with Amazon drivers, who are contracted. They barely get paid a livable wage (many times Amazon was sued for paying drivers under minimum wage even), and must deliver lots of packages as fast as they can to make a living, to the point where they may have to pee in bottles rather than stop. Amazon tracks their eye movements, if they drink coffee, everything, and even outside of driving and doing their job, they to have specific nail length, social media posting, lots of dictated things and none of the benefits of employees as they are contractors. If your packages end up delivered at all, your they might end up in Privateer place or some other place. That's what happened to my package, when I checked the map and the exact location. Hopefully it will reach the UNO post office.Edit: You can change the last 4 digits by changing address 1 and then reentering the zip code until it eventually works.”
“I am here because I could not let this go unnoticed or heard. On Saturday, July 20, I came in and requested to speak with a supervisor. I was unaware at the time, how postal deliveries work when having an outside carrier deliver your package to your P.O Box. Anyways, the manager came out and asked for my information to go look for my package herself. When she didn't find it at the time (looking back, I was too early) she came out and asked for my number and PO Box. She said if she came across it, she would call me, etc. She was so very polite, I left there feeling better because honestly I was disappointed it would be 3 days before I get my package because it was the weekend. Well yesterday, that same supervisor called me. Like she called to make sure if I ever received my package. That sent me inside my home with the biggest smile that I needed at that moment. It's people like that who makes this world a better place. Please acknowledge her for her efforts. It meant a whole lot. I must also note, everytime I have came in there, I am always greeted with kindness. However, some businesses have supervisor's whom do not care much. The interaction was genuine and the phone call summed it up. Great Job, and Thank you again! Pictures to include what I was about to cry over that day ?? I ended up getting it before they closed as well ??”
“I don't know who the young lady was that help me with my packages but she gave me so much help she told me what would be a better deal to send my grandkids their package and I'm so grateful for her help more time with at the post office sometimes you don't get good help but this day I got excellent help so thank you young lady”
“It's a post office, they almost always have bad reviews from people grumpy at long lines. But at least for me, service was fast and clerk friendly and helpful.”
“This has been my local post office for 35 years. I have seen a lot of ups and a lot of down. Almost every time that I have gone, I have seen the workers remain helpful to the customers. They are also patient. I do not like the they did away with the drive up-drop off. At this post office I never feel rushed. I just left and wanted to post a review about an observation. A young lady in front of me was getting a money order and before she walked away, she asked the postal worker behind the counter, if she had to sign it. She also explained that it was her first time getting a money order. The postal worker took the time to open the money order and explain it to her twice, while reiterating the importance of keeping the top copy for her records and in case anything should happen. This workers name was Ms. Lori. I have known her for over 20 years, and all of my personal and professional experiences have been nothing but top tier. It was refreshing to see that a someone, let alone a postal worker actually helped a customer. I've had a lot of experiences where Ive felt like the US Postal Service needs to be closed down. I'm happy that I had a chance to tell about this positive experience.”

“I have been patronizing this branch for almost two years now. I'm always greeted by friendly employees. They have helped me save cost on numerous packages with suggestions. I haven't experienced pleasantries or suggestions on costs at any other post office.”
“I don't know why this post office has such a low rating. I was there this morning with a complicated situation, and everyone was absolutely polite, helpful, gracious. Thank you, staff!”
“I just went to this location for a passport. Brandi at the desk was absolutely fabulous. She helped me through the process with ease. Again, I want to thank her for all of her help and effort!”
