My family & I have shopped at Rouses since you took over the store on Belle Chasse Highway from Albertsons (I believe that it was an Albertsons) and I have never been treated as horribly as I was by the woman at the customer service desk Wednesday, 31JAN24, at the Algiers Store.I was in line to ask for a rain check for the ‘On Sale’ Rouses brand high pulp orange juice. When I got to the front of the line the woman was ugly from the get-go. Her facial expression & tone of voice was one of disdain. All I could think of was, “What had I done?” When I asked for a rain check I told her that there was one container of No Pulp but there was no High Pulp. She said that I would have to buy the No Pulp. I told her that I did not want the No Pulp, that I wanted the High Pulp. Her level of contempt was increasing as I did not instantly just submit to her will and buy what I did not want.She called someone to check on what was available. This took several minutes so I asked to pay for the other items I had already picked up so the line could flow until the young man could check what was in the back. He said something to the effect that there was No Pulp but he was not sure about anything else. Looking down her nose at me and with a haughty tone of voice she again said that I would just have to take what was available.Another customer walked up to the customer service area to complain about one of the cashiers that had overcharged her for an item and told the CS woman that she was just going to take another of the items to make up for the overcharge. The CS woman let her cut the line to rectify her issue. I did not believe letting her cut the line and just take another of the items was the right thing to do but I am not her boss.Eventually I got the Rouses High Pulp orange juice. Since I had already waited in line for the orange juice once I asked if she check me out again. She hatefully said it would not be fair to let me cut the line. (But it was okay to let the other woman cut the line!)When I got to the front of the line, again, I told her conduct & attitude was objectionable. She was totally incensed and started yelling. I told a supervisor and left.She knew what she was doing. When the manager came by she was all friendly until he left.This entire ordeal went on for many minutes and I am giving you the shortened version. She should not be in a position where she deals with the public. It will not be fair to your customers to be subjected to this conduct.

Deli workers act resentful if asked to slice meat. Last time I was there 2 workers were talking with the slicer while line was growing. Left the line in disgust.Cashiers are nicest on the westbank.

An employee, Lee, cursed me out when I asked him where the peas were. Felt very disrespected and left immediately.

Workers in the meat and seafood dept. are garbage. They get upset when you ask for something you can't locate in their departments. Belle Chaser Hey. and Algiers.

Rouses is always stocked with fresh food. The store is always clean and the staff is most respectful. Always a smile at Rouses!

Always out of things. I have had to return many items because of spoilage or mold. Sometimes several times in one week. Algiers residents deserve better. Other Rouses--even just a mile away on Belle Chase Hwy--are much nicer, cleaner and better stocked. They have chosen to make the Algiers location a lesser store because of who they think shops there.

Most workers are friendly and clean store environment. Some employees are straight up rude. But that's my biased opinion.

Called to see if they had alfalfa sprouts in produce I listened to the prompts and presses 7 to speak to produce and finally after endless ringing a woman picked up and I asked her if they had alfalfa sprouts and she said let me connect you to produce and as I attempted to tell her I tried produce she forwarded the phone and it eventually back to her and she hung up on me! This is typical Rouses customer service. I try to avoid them at all cost to minimize my agrivation.

I called the store on General DeGaulle to get some information about ordering a Cheese Tray, or if they were pre-made... I was transfer from one dept to the next about three times, just to be put on hold for about 8 mins... and to have someone just hang-up on me at the end... without even saying Hello...Wonder if they got any Customer Service training at all..

On today at about 6:30pm I visited the Gen deGaulle store and saw bbq ribs that were dry rub for $7.49. I went to customer service and the cashier stated that it was the wrong price. I explained to her that all the dry rub packages were priced at $7.49 and the other whole slabs with bbq sauce on them were $13.99. The cashier had taken the ribs I wished to purchase and had the label for $7.49 removed and replaced with a $13.99 label. The issue I have is it was not my fault that the price of the ribs was miss marked. I got the manager involved and we went back to check the rest of the ribs and another unknown customer told the manager that they just changed the prices on all the dry rub only ribs. I found this to very inconsiderate on the cashier’s part as she should have called the manager first instead of leaving the customer service counter to check for herself and change the price tag from what the ribs weee initially price. I have always shopped at Rouses but this has left a bad taste with me.,

Rouses has been my favorite place to grocery shop for years. I shop there almost daily and had noticed the the Deli had been shutting down earlier. I was there today at 7:45 p.m. and noticed the Manager was called to help someone check out. I asked her what time the Deli closes and she said, "It depends, I was called from another store and I hate it here" - Ya'll need to rethink things!

The cashier shenika was very rude and not helpful at all. She even rolled her eyes at me.I pressed the wrong button for cash back and it made her mad . Have a nice day shenika.
