The store has beautiful woodwork pieces, but the store associate was completely rude. A couple of friends and I were looking around, and talking amongst ourselves when he told us that we should probably go to a restaurant and drink and talk, as he walked into the back. We were the only customers in there, so we were not disturbing anyone. It's sad because I wanted to actually purchase something, but I won't support local artists that are rude.

Beautiful store and friendly atmosphere. Lots of really special pieces. Staff at store was very friendly and even encouraged my child to touch a drum and other goods. Very open and approachable.Unique wood carving and jewelry art... very reasonable prices considering the quality. Extensive collection of Buddhist influenced woodwork. Recommended.

Art is gorgeous. Service was atrocious. I was close to buying something and the guy in the store was obviously shooing people out so he could play a game on his phone. Will never go back

Had been searching for a Fleur-de-lis pendant and Brian had a unique double that I fell in love with. And the woodwork pieces are simply amazing. Such detail to all the custom pieces of art.

My mom and I stopped in front of this store as we needed to tie a shoe, we looked up and were like “Looks cool, let’s check it out.”Immediately we were blown away by all of the beautiful wood pieces and the smell of wood. We browsed around not really in the market for getting anything but within 2 minutes we were drawn to beautiful pieces that wanted to buy.One of the owners, Brian, started to share more about the pieces and his background and we ended up chatting with him about traveling and art! He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and a hoot!We ended up getting 4 wood pieces and the prices were fantastic - they were having a 20% off Summer Sale.We will definitely be back to add to our collection.

Why visit silver lotus? My fiancée and I walked in, not thinking much, but we were blown away by all the rare, unique finds they have scattered about, hidden among all the wood-carved pieces. Antiques that have been carefully curated and displayed perfectly stole the show. From vintage jewelry to one of a kind antique trinkets from around the world. You can definitely tell they have an eye for genuine craftsmanship, so many of the wood-carved artwork have fantastic attention to detail. This is a small business worth supporting. It’s not hard to tell they take great pride in ownership. I want to say thank you to Brian and Lily for making the Silver Lotus a highlight of our trip. We can’t wait to go back!

I was shopping along Royal Street with friends and family, and we stopped in. A man came from the back and greeted us as we browsed our way to the back of the room. The was a hall leading to a back room that appeared to also have merchandise. We stepped into the hall, and the man snapped, "the back is closed!" I apologized and moved back into the main room. THEN this j*** said, " what about that made you think the back room was open? Don't you see the light was off? Did it LOOK open??"Listen, there was no sign that said Room Closed, no chain or anything stretched across the door, and in this modern age LOTS of places have energy-conserving devices that turn room lights off and on as people enter or leave a room. We immediately left. My advice is pass this place right on by. If he's an employee, he needs correction. If he's an owner, he needs a personality transplant.

The proprietor can't keep his stories straight. We went in one day and he told us his wife and co-owners made everything. I said I would come back another day because I didn't have my backpack and didn't want to carry my purchase everywhere. When I came back to buy something I liked, he apparently didn't recognize me. I heard him tell another customer everything came from master crafters from overseas. So which is it? I walked out without buying anything. I know a lot of goods in NOLA are made elsewhere, but the shops at least don't lie about it. Liars don't get my money. Especially not at those prices.

Outrageously high priced records. Highest I’ve seen in town. Cool selection but go anywhere else in town except peaches and you can find the same thing for much cheaper.

Was the rudest person I have ever ran into trying to do business. He is real nice if you buy something, but when you don’t he tells you to get out of his store. It was totally unbelievable. And then when I replied back he began yelling and chased me out of the store.

Most of the items in the store are on Amazon, he kept feeding us stories about his wife crafting each item. Could be true could not, if so she sells her stuff on Amazon for cheaper so check there first.
