The security in the parking an covered part was the MAJOR plus for us.The rooms were nice. You are paying for middle class hotel an that is exactly what you get. The staff we not over kind. Just average. It was still a good stay for the price. I did not go in expecting a 300 a night room for a 100 cost.I would stay again. There was definitely people type watching activities going on.People be peopling .

It's economical, if you're needing something on a tight budget and a one night gotta-be-out-early stay. We booked through Expedia but the rooms were not what we expected. It's next to a busy street, so we had sirens and traffic throughout the stay. While we had non-smoking rooms, there was a very pungent recreational smoking scent in the hallways. Unfortunately, we found pests, a busted/inoperable outlet next to the head of the bed, and someone else's used bandages. We didn't stay for breakfast.I was shocked as they had more positive reviews recently. The front desk was very gracious and apologetic. They refunded part of our stay.**Be aware, with the strains in the hospitality industry, most places will not do stayover housekeeping unless specifically requested. Any mess you make is one that stays the duration of your trip.**

This place was not bad at all. I needed to be economical this trip and for the price, it wasn't a bad stay at all. The room was clean. The bedspreads could be updated but it was a comfortable sleep. The towels could use upgrading, please. They are very thin. The staff was so very nice, helpful, and accommodating. The free breakfast was actually quite good and satisfying. I didn't explore the surrounding neighborhood but it doesn't seem like a place to just venture out. Unfortunately, this location is far from the tourist areas so Uber and Lyft are very expensive, but overall, not a bad stay. A quiet, comfortable place to lay my head for a couple of days.

My stay here was pretty good. The rooms are really outdated but it’s clean and quiet. Everything worked. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful. The breakfast was pretty depressing, but it was better than nothing. The only real issue I had were the roaches that showed up in my bathroom a few hours before check-out. If you’re deciding to stay at this hotel, make sure you rent a car to travel back and forth to and from the city. The Ubers really added up and it’s probably cheaper to drive yourself around.

I had a fantastic time staying at Super8. The concierge at the front desk Preetham was super friendly and helpful, literally one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I will definitely be a lifetime customer from now on!

The experience was awful. Our first room was filled with smoke. We couldn't adjust the temperature because the air conditioning unit is not in the room. You have to place a call to the front desk and hope someone answers. The breakfast was nonexistent. There were waffles, ONLY no meat, no eggs. No milk for the cereal and instant package oatmeal. I barely got coffee and it was only 7:45aa

Staff is staff, rooms were cleaned and comfortable. The breakfast is good just wish there were more options to choose from. I love the gated part since it's in a bad area. Most of all I don't have any problems so far. Rooms: Very comfortable and clean and everything in my room works properly

Have to give it a 5 ⭐️ rating… Exceptional customer service. The lady at the front desk was very helpful, and knew off the bat about how to handle a mother with 3 kids. She was very kind, and very knowledgeable . especially helpful. It’s as if she knew my situation. I don’t know. But she handled my situation, with ease…We need more people like her. The hotel was simple. Nothing fancy. Which is cool for that affordable price range. Under $70 nightly stay… I will definitely say it’s a deal. Plus the privacy on top of it. Can’t beat that. It’s secured gate entry. Major plus. Thought that was a cool thing. Overall best southern hospitality hotel.

What an amazing find! One of the best motels we’ve ever stayed in. Clean and safe. The room is spacious, having everything you need. TV, fridge, microwave, hairdryer, iron, coffee machine, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion. The beds are comfortable, the water pressure is high enough, AC works good. There is an outdoor pool inside of the building, we didn’t swim there but took a look at it and it seemed to be very well maintained. The covered parking lot is behind the closed gates, they also have the cameras on the premises. The motel provides a complimentary breakfast, we went to the lobby downstairs at 8:40 am and it was still there. I believe they serve breakfast until 9.30, but better to ask the receptionist. Actually we weren’t told about the breakfast time upon arrival, had to read other people’s reviews on Google maps because the front desk didn’t answer the phone in the morning, but luckily we made it (some people wrote at 8:15 am there were empty shelves&tables). So it was coffee (+creamer, sugar, milk), tea, orange juice (prepackaged in fridge), oatmeal, bread, jam, butter, muffins, cereal (plain and with raisins) and waffles (the line was long, we gave up on it).We also left our car at motel and went to French quarter by ordering Uber ($14 to + $16 back), and it was the best decision ever. It was absolute chaos in there since it was Sunday evening. No parking spots, hundreds of cars and thousands of people.Didn’t see any working ladies on the streets (how other people mentioned), but we didn’t walk around the neighborhood at night, only had an Uber ride.

I was traveling with 2 teensgaers and a 7 year old. the other reviews are right about the ladies walking the street in very revealing clothing but they were harmless and my kids didnt even see them until i said something and by then we were pulling into the place. but when we checked in i asked if they had smoking rooms and so she moved me from inside the building to outside near the smoking area and near the pool. so we were woken up by the small children being lous without any parent present. they also didnt tell me how to get to the breakfast area so i thought you had to walk all the way around the gate until the 2nd night when were almost ready to go to sleep when the teenagers went looking for vending machines. this hotel was cheap and didnt seem to bad but it def needs some work to updateit and i will say i hate the parking. its like you park on the first floor and have this tiny rickety elevator to go up. also the way the poles are i ended up hitting one and messed my door up backing out because of how they are postioned. the breakfast was waffles and some pastries and that was about all. i def expected more from a hotel with the Wyndham name on it. so if ya need somewhere cheap this place is it but only even you need somewhere to sleep

I was happy with my 3 day stay here. The area is a bit sketchy at night, but I felt safe at the motel itself and the parking lot is behind the building where you go through a gated entrance to park under an overhead. The rooms were clean and I didn’t see any bugs. The only complaint I would have is that the water from the sink and shower was not cold- and after a hot summer day the cold water was what I wanted. One night we arrived back to the motel very late and went into our room and after a short bit, we got a knock at our door. One of the workers brought us our car key- found in the parking lot. This shows us 2 things, 1) we were being careless and we got lucky, and 2) the staff was kind and went the extra mile to bring it immediately to us. Saved us a lot of panic the next morning.

Still here so ongoing... so far,I have No idea what the poor reviews are all about. There is Nothing cookie cutter about this hotel. For our money, it's fantastic. Will edit to add finished stay. (Dragonfly photo because she landed in front of me by the pool and posed pretty)EDIT: We will never stay anywhere else again.Noteworthy details: Iron security gates Feeling safe and Are safe. It's an older building with crazy amounts of charm! All rooms face inward, with detailed beautiful iron work lining the walkways. Shaded, covered parking. Lovely well maintained pool. The ac is ACES! Bed , I wanted to take home.

I have been two 4 other hotels since my first stay here. I came back. The staff is awesome the rooms are nice and cozy. The pool is awesome. The front desk clerk Tira is amazing! She has a very nice aura about herself and she’s very helpful. The breakfast is awesome as well. You may see alotta of street walkers around the area but other than that I would stay here any time! Work sucks but so does the wife at others hotels I’ve been thru best thing I can say is use your hotspot!Rooms: The rooms are nice and spacious

First time in Louisiana traveling from Seattle, Washington. I was extremely picky and scary where I would pick the room because I'm scared of roaches and bugs. This place was pretty amazing after reading the reviews. The only thing I can say is the area is not so great but we only used it to sleep and rest so it worked out fine for us. Environment was clean. No roaches. No bugs we stayed for 3 daysRooms: I traveled with myself in a friend. The room was great for two people

The hotel is pretty good in terms of cleanliness, and service. We got two rooms with a insider corridor attached-was super helpful for family. The morning breakfast was nice with cereal, waffle, bread, butter, juice and coffee. It would be perfect if they added some fruits and eggs. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone with friends and family.
