No go on this location. I reserved a truck, in the middle of my reservation they called and told us that if we didn’t return the truck we would be reported. They sold our reservation and threatened us.(they had our card on hand and charged us weekly)Not ok U-Haul! Zero stars

Dear U-HAUL, As I was about to open the door to my UHAUL and drive off with it, I noticed a man sleeping in the passenger seat, with his belongings filling the driver's seat. As he opened the door, he lied and said he worked there. He started taking his things out of the door, he pulled out a BOW and a bag filled with ARROWS, used for hunting. Whilst I was within feet of him in shock, and my younger sister. BOTH women with nobody around. I cannot explain the shock and distraught feeling from that I had witnessed and the possibilities of DANGER AND FEAR to pick up a UHAUL and to THINK that at that very moment, our lives could have been taken from us. The employees there were not at all EMPATHETIC nor HELPFUL. I remember rushing to the front with a distressed tone, telling the man in front that there was a homeless man sleeping in the UHAUL that YOU have provided us. Do you know what he said? He replied and LAUGHED "You should hire him, he can help you move stuff". They gave us a new UHAUL but only out of desperation for keeping a business going, did I take it, we were given no EMPATHY, SYMPATHY NOR DECENCY. I cannot begin to FATHOM the irresponsibility of UHAUL employees, along with management to let an incident happen. I will not stop to spread this kind of threat and experience with my UHAUL experience. Management called me to "resolve" the problem stating "I don't want you to make it seem like we weren't empathetic because I did tell you I'm sorry and the man had a lot of things going on with him, I even remember giving you a new UHAUL" That's the LEAST you can do. And didn't even give us a refund, what a joke.

Worst service ever. They gave me a truck without gas in it. After I told them about it they said thats how I must bring it back without fuel in it. I’ve already paid for the reservation so I used it. Brought it back in the same condition and was charge for fuel cost and fees. Crazy.

They don't open until 9M. People start moves early in morning. The self check in took me 30 minutes until I was at the point to get the keys and the lock wouldn't open. The help desk was of no help at all. Don't do it.

The people working at the desk, a white older gentleman with glasses and a black older woman who was wearing a face mask, (I dont have a problem with masks just used it to identify her) were extremely short and rude to me and my girlfriend when we were picking up our rental today 1/2/2024. When we entered they didnt greet us they just sat at their desk staring at us. Neither called us up so I had to guess where to go. First they wanted to not give us the rental because we had an out of state license. The woman seemed delighted to see that it was out of state so that she didnt have to do any work. But I was extremely polite and I waited and the white gentleman beside her allowed it. Must have been the on duty manager. She then rudely grilled me on where I was going what I was doing, what time I would be back...etc every question you could think of trying to disqualify me from renting a van. Again I was very polite and answered all the questions. At one point it started to get very loud in the office so I asked her to repeat herself. She sharply started yelling and was extremely frustrated that I couldnt hear her. These two people must absolutely hate their jobs and not want to do anything. They were so excited to disqualify people and say no. Its disgusting behavior and customer service and u-haul should be ashamed to call these two employees.

Staff and manager very unhelpful. To say they did the bare minimum would be charitable. It felt like they were actively trying to screw me over once they had my money. Would never use again.

Renting wasn’t a problem. What was a problem was before returning it I also got the 1 month free storage. They told me it was open and the lock would be inside. Went to unload the truck and the storage was locked and no one would open it. Had to keep the truck an extra day after my original drop off time. I called repeatedly that morning to try and explain my situation and no one picked up the phone.I was able to unload the truck that day but they charged me an extra day even after I explained the situation and they told me they wouldn’t. Had to call them back AGAIN and finally got my refund for a charge that shouldn’t have been there.Very stressful. The location is hard to access and clearly is not managed properly for me to be locked out of the storage unit they said was unlocked, charged an extra day when it was not my fault, refunded almost 2 weeks later, and never answered the phone.

Call the corporate or regional number if you need anything - people aren't lying when they say front desk staff are rude and incompetent. The older woman we worked with tried to blame us for her inability to find our reservation, which took 2 minutes on the phone with corporate myself to resolve. The audacity, attitude, and inability to do their job is just sad.

That u-haul location on Tulane Ave in New Orleans was horrible. Firstly, I was a little early but no trucks were available until 2:00. Then they couldn’t find the key to the truck so I waited around for 30 more minutes. I finally went inside (they told me to wait outside in 99 degree weather) & they gave me a new truck. The truck was dirty with the previous users stuff. I told them that while I dropped it off after finishing and the guy told me to just leave the truck there and I’d get a text or email from them. I got nothing until i got this survey. I still have no idea how much I paid for the truck. Was very unprofessional and terrible.

Truck was there when I reserved it, ready to go right at 7AM. Lost an hour with corporate trying to correct a mistake on the contract’s odometer reading, but this location’s owner Ms. Ruth set me up with an extra day for free, so I’m happy! Materials were all in stock and reasonably priced. Truck clean and everything working

Staff helped me when I wasn't able to pick up my truck on time due to the center not being open. They added more time to my rental after I called.
