I dream of a place in which I can have a lovely little neighborhood post office experience. It's interesting to see everyone complain about them being rude - that's never been my experience, but I'm also always on my best behavior in there to stay on their good side. Fact of the matter it is a gross, sad little post office that care - and maybe even the USPS - forgot. General rules: There will always, ALWAYS be a line; Don't gauge their busyness by the cars in the parking lot since they let people park there for the bayou (which is both nice and annoying); Don't touch anything; Bring your own supplies bc they ain't got nothing there (not even tape); Those ladies move slower than molasses no matter how many people are in line. So either deal with it, or try the one on Carrollton which seemed super understaffed last time I was there.

This is the MOST raggedy post office I've ever stepped foot in. It's astounding that this is a government agency- If I had to work in conditions like that I would be grumpy too, can't even blame the employees for acting like they don't care. Clearly they are following the example set by their employer.

They are no longer customer service oriented and have separated from hail, rain, sleet & snow mantra to dumping your mail in their garage rather than delivering it. Sorry, USPS. You've undelivered two important packages in as many days with no accountability. The overall attitude is like biding your time til someone dissolves it & AI takes your jobs!

Rude, unhelpful, and down right mean spirited. Try the Bywater post office for kindness.

They're good. It's a good spot. One thong, if you have packages delivered from Amazon, you'll get a weird notice, "Atte.pted delivery, will try again." In truth, they received the package. Don't know why this error persists.

You must consider where you are! For a Post Office ... IN NEW ORLEANS ... this is as good as it gets. Sure, when she told me I'm paying extra for a bigger box, and I asked if two smaller ones would be cheaper, I got the same look most everyone complains about. "That don't make no sense!" I'm a local and understand the culture, so I'll gladly deal with a little rudeness if the job gets done. My clerk was helpful and nice enough. So I gotta curve the rating since it's Orleans Parish...

Nothing special, always a line, most of the clerks are not that customer service friendly. It's not kept clean, the inside entrance is always dirty, the mats have been there for years, old, torn & dirty.

Ahh as long as you respect the workers and don't walk up on them until called, they are nice. I'd say they are also very efficient. What I'm not a fan of is them locking the door at 12:45 and saying they're closed when they are open til 1. I know there's a survey you can fill out but im not trying to get anyone fired here, so maybe they will see this review and stick to their posted hours ;)

I was raised to say please thank you and yes ma’am no ma’am/sir. No matter how polite I am seems like nothing but attitude is given. Simply had a question on how to go about obtaining a particular service and the woman behind the counter was very rude as if I was an inconvenience by even being there.

one lady in there is incredibly rude and unhelpful with shipping boxes. we’ve never shipped with bigger boxes and she gave us 0 information on how to send it and talked down to us like we were stupid. she does NOT need to be working in a setting where she has to interact with people.

The staff here are great. I'm a regular customer and I see how hard and patient the workers are. The wait times can be long, but it's not due to the employees. I've been mailing my packages through this branch for 3 years and I have never had any issues.

I got here 5 mins before they close and the doors were closed and locked already. I asked the lady if I can mail my two letters as certified mail and she told me that I can put them in the box outside while she was fighting with a customer in the building at the same time. People need to learn some manners and how treat customers and also how to run a business. If I did that at my job I would get fired.
