When my dog typically goes to the vet she is nervous, but the staff were so gentle and supportive and that went a long way towards making her more comfortable. I’ve never seen her so calm at the vet and I really appreciate the staff for creating an environment where that was possible.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Lakeview Veterinary Hospital and the care they provided for my sweet 8 y/o chi Moet. We had to bring her in for a stressful first visit due to unexpected tummy issues, and from the start, the team made me feel safe, supported, and completely informed. They were incredibly thorough, taking the time to walk me through every step in a way that was clear and reassuring.
I especially appreciated how they discussed costs upfront, so there were no surprises at the end…such a huge relief in a stressful moment. Dr. Beck and her techs were amazing, showing genuine care and compassion every step of the way. Because of this experience, Dr. Beck may have just gained three new fur babies as patients!”

“Huge shoutout to the team at Canal St Veterinary Hospital for coming through for us in a big way! We were visiting from out of town when my service dog Basil decided vacation was the perfect time to feel under the weather. Canal St fit us in on short notice, got Basil checked out, and had him back on his paws faster than I expected.
Traveling with a service dog means he’s not just a pet, he’s my partner, and having him sidelined is stressful in a way that’s hard to explain. The staff got that without me having to say much, and they treated both of us with real kindness.
If you’re in the area and need a vet you can trust, these folks are the real deal. Basil gives them four paws up, which is high praise from a very discerning dog. 🐾”

“Seriously impressed with how swift, helpful and kind the doctor was. Thought I was in a fever dream when I was admitted to the room because there was something screaming bloody murder in the room adjacent. Turns out it was a very unhappy pig. Amazing to know this place will even do exotics. He took care of my cat with expertise and was incredibly congenial with me. When I gave him my assumptions, he confirmed them more thoroughly and with no condescension or air of having better things to do. You don't find veterinary doctors like this very often. Writing this review before I'm even finished with my time here, and given my review history, positivity like this is few and far between.”

“I’ve had the absolute privilege of my dogs being under the care of Dr. Nicole Larroque at DeSoto Park Veterinary Clinic, and I can say with full confidence that she is an exceptional veterinarian. She’s cared for all three of my French Bulldogs — Otie, Clovis, and now Dozier — each with unmatched compassion and professionalism.
Dr. Nicole only saw Otie a few times before he passed suddenly from heart failure at the age of 16. Even in those brief visits, her gentle and attentive care brought me peace during a heartbreaking time.
My second, Clovis, was under her care for several years. Every single time I opened the car door at the clinic, he would pull me straight to the entrance — tail wagging, if he had one, excited to see the staff. That kind of reaction speaks volumes about the warmth and kindness he experienced there. When Clovis was later diagnosed with lung cancer at age 16, Dr. Nicole guided me through that painful chapter with such grace and empathy. Looking back, I can honestly say I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to walk me through the journey of letting him go.
Now, I’ve begun a new chapter with my rescue pup, Dozier, who’s just a year old. He’s brought a new set of challenges, both medical and behavioral, that I’ve never faced before with any of my dogs. But once again, history repeats itself — I feel more than confident having Dr. Nicole by our side. With her and the incredible staff supporting us, I know that whatever comes up, we’re in the very best hands.
There are many great veterinarians in New Orleans — but Dr. Nicole isn’t one of them. She’s something more. She walked beside us through joy, illness, and even heartbreak. And when you combine that kind of compassion with her medical knowledge and skill, there’s no question — the spotlight belongs on her. She truly stands above the rest.”

“Dr. Koenig is the most compassionate vet I have ever taken my animals to. He's listened to every concern I've had (even the irrational ones), and addressed them all. My cat needed extensive dental extractions and months of antibiotics to address a dental infection she had when she was adopted and I still can't wrap my head around how much more affordable it was than I'd expected.”
“My wife scheduled an appointment for out kitty to be neutored. I arrived at 7:30am and was greeted by very professional ladies. They handed me paperwork that was very easy to fill out but there were still around the area in case you had questions. They explained the process and when to pick up the kitty.”

King had a hematoma of the ear and the care he gave my baby made me change veterinarians because he was very gentle, kind, and explained all I need to know carefully . He wasn't in a rush like most doctors are. The price was not what I thought it would be. It was a lot lot cheaper also.”

“Dr. DeCosta was able to diagnose the root cause of my Shih-Tzu’s eye condition by conducting a thorough examination. He took his time taking detailed notes and explained the prognosis with realistic expectations. I was anxious about the cost of service only to be surprised at check-out with a reasonable bill. The location is convenient and peaceful, which can be a godsend when dealing with a sick pet. Will bE my home base for Choco’s eye health.
UPDATE: Choco's eyes continue to heal under Dr. DeCosta's care. No invasive treatment was needed; but if it had been - I'd feel comfortable trusting Dr. DeCosta with care. Professional and focused vet. His priority is the animal's comfort, and that is priceless.”

“We brought our dog Rue here for an emergency surgery to remove an obstruction. The entire staff was very friendly and took very good care of our dog! Even in the late hours of the night everyone was very compassionate and caring. They ended up saving my dog’s life!! Their prices were reasonable and service was exceptional. The staff has always been top notch, the doctors and techs are fantastic and they treat your pets as if they are their own. We love Maple! Just wish it was closer to our home but we are happy to make the drive!”
