I've used just about every laundromat in town at this point. The quality here is slightly above average than most of them. So yes of course this is in a shadier part of town. However,, the interior is relatively clean. There's at least one manager who is helpful. The machines all basically work the same, and there are plenty of them. The biggest thing is the difference in time between the same machines.. the disparity can be pretty significant. That being said, they all seem to work & I have never come here & waited for a machine before. My clothes/sheets/towels are 100% clean and I never feel like a wash was wasted. I'm not a fan of this prepaid card business,, but it hasn't screwed me so far.The cost is slightly above average than most machines in the city, but still cheaper than anything in the French Quarter/Downtown area. The quality is basically worth it. ****(see picture) I find it a bit tone deaf that Walter Isaacson gets an exposé here. Not only would people in this neighborhood hate this guy if they knew what he & the Aspen Institute stood for- Eugenicsesque control over poor people of all races- it's just inviting itself to be vandalised. Poor people don't like rich white people that try to domesticate them with deceptive social policies.

Credit card function isn’t working, even after reporting the issue quite a few weeks ago. The place is trashy and the employees are rude and apathetic to my problem.

This is by the far the most fun laundromat I've been to. I was having a brain freeze Ave couldn't figure out how to load money on the card to use the machines she an employee immediately sorted me out. I love that everything here is proud of the Black community. All the machines have a little picture and information about a famous Black person. I learnt a lot while waiting for my clothes to be done. And you can get a free book to read while you wait from an awesome selection of books! The prices range between $4-$6 per wash and $0.49 for 6 mins of dryer time. And Melba’s next door is another gem.Plus they have PARKING!Please click the ??if you liked this review and follow me for more reviews! Thank you.

My washer had broken and I needed a laundromat. I'm very suspicious of laundromats claim's of their cleanliness. However, Melba's Wash World LLC, are not just a claim. It's a very real fact! There's an old saying: "-cleanliness is next to godliness".Well that saying holds true for the owner and staff at Wash World LLC @ Melba's.Not only does Melba's serve great New Orleans cuisines through their friendly staff.Melba's there for you when things go wrong with the home or apartment washer and dryer.Take some friendly words of a person that's always dressed too impressed. Even if he's dressing to impress his self. So, when looking for a clean laundromat in this area, it's "Wash World @ Melba's".Thank you Wash World LLC @ Melba's.

Thank you so much for a safe and comfortable place to come and dry my clothes! I also love the creativity, the local history, and the push for literacy and reading in our city. And of course, I cannot forget about the delicious food you offer as well!

Good place to do your laundry. Once you learn the card system they use at Wash World, everything goes smoothly. They also offer food/drink specials daily.

I've been living near Melba's over 10 years. It's the closest laundromat and I don't have a car. One day a few years ago the hot water was gone for good. I've went different times. I went was it was busy and I went when I was the only one in there. I saw a laundry in the lower 9th ward do the same thing. They save hundreds or maybe thousands of dollars by not heating water for the machines. And nobody notices. I am not a disgruntled person or anything. All I have written is true.

What a fun place ! I came here because my regular laundromat was closed and I happy I did. First off, the dryers are HOT and dry bigger loads quick. Very happy for that. Place is clean and has a colorful areas for kids. Good parking too. I didn't know there was a restaurant attached. Where there are tables in the laundry room area as well if you want to eat in there there's a restaurant with seating on the side. There's lots of books as well in the area where you order and a lot of local artwork which I really love. Food was good.
