Ordered a catfish po-boy and fries with gravy and cheese, as well as snagged a half rack of ribs (weekend BBQ special). The po-boy size was larger than anticipated for the price point and was tasty as expected. Fries unfortunately was a big miss, as the fries weren't very cooked/ crispy before being topped with gravy and cheese. Ribs had good taste and texture; could use a little more sauce with it. I'd come back to try other po-boy sandwiches and give their Muffuletta when I visit NOLA next time. As another reviewer said, their prices aren't much higher than Rouses' Market, which was a pleasant surprise.

This is a local grocery store that has been around for decades, and has great tasting po-boys: try the turkey on French dressed!Sadly, they do not have large waters for sale individually like CVS does across the street, and when workers come in and they're very thirsty there are no very large single waters for sale. But otherwise a good local grocery store.

OMG...You must try their Sweet Heat Pickles unless you are easily addicted. It's a habit I can't break. DELICIOUS‼️Love their poboys too!!!

I love this store. I love the po-boys but the smell is so bad. It's so bad that it makes me afraid to buy food here. It's like old crawfish and an old man with moth balls in his pockets danced through the entire store.

Best roast beef po' boy in New Orleans. The shrimp is really good too and is in my top 3.

Super cool, old-time grocery store. Staff was friendly. Po' boys and hush puppies were phenomenal! Such a cool find.

IN OVER 30 YEARS I'VE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED 1. Prepared Foods: perhaps the biggest selection in New Orleans. Some standouts: - the chicken salad is the best in the city and they can't keep it on the shelves. - they make my favorite coleslaw, lightly sweet and sour, with a bit of Creole mustard; great on sandwiches (see pic). - better cheddar is a little spicy - which I prefer. 2. Employee retention: I'd say that at least 6 employees ( management, cashier, deli, etc.) have been with this small organization since I moved back uptown 10 years ago.

Ordered an oyster po'boy, shrimp po'boy, and pound of the crawfish ($5.99/pound). Loved all of it! Would've liked some more spice in the sandwiches, but still delicious. The portions of oysters and shrimp was plenty. Super filling sandwich, worth the price. The people here are super nice. Plus there's a patio to eat. I would definitely come back!

The place reeks of moth balls, dog food, and rotting meat. Nearly half the “fresh” packaged foods were either expired by a week or just expiring today. Some of the foods looked like they had been relabeled with a fresher expiration date to keep them on the shelves. Some of the stuffed artichokes had the expiration stickers peeled off…too bad the manufacturer’s sticker said they had expired on December 9th. I should have taken pictures. I guess they don’t care if they give someone food poisoning. Foods were mispriced and some were grossly overpriced. I’m really horrified by this place. If you decide to go here my suggestion is to only buy preserved, boxed, and canned items that were date marked by the manufacturer and to look at the date on every single item.

Ordered roast beef poboy and fries. Got turkey poboy and fries which were under cooked, greasy and cold. The turkey was dry. The food was not good.

I love this place. It's family owned and not much pricier than Rouses. A little small but has all the basics. Their deli counter is usually good, but I did get food poising from undercooked meatloaf there once.
