I’ve lived at the same house since 2013 and I’ve never had a package “stolen” bc I always buy from Amazon and they deliver. I chose to get one item from EBay which came through USPS and what do you know my item was “delivered”, yet someone was home in the living room near the front door on the phone with me at the time of delivery and nothing. No knock, none of my dogs barked which they always do when someone is at the front door, and most importantly No Package. Why don’t they take photos of the delivered item like Amazon does that would make it easier to believe when they say my item was actually delivered.I have a a Ring camera on the way now FROM AMAZON.

I stay in Lafayette. They literally just sent my package to Dallas knowing it would have to go across the river back to Baton Rouge just to finally come here. Totally incompetent

I constantly have packages arrive either late or not at all as they travel through the Port Allen location. I have never had this issue with any other facility, however, the USPS has zero customer service options to find or track your package short of showing up and demanding that they find it.

Wish I could give less than 1 star. HORRIBLE Customer service, and like many others stated, they are terrible with dealing with prepaid mail. Had 3 people there tell me three different reasons why my mail was sent back to me. All 3 were lies. One being “your package is too thick” and then I asked the lady to put it through the example mail slot. It went in perfectly, like I expected. Then they tried to tell me I needed to pay $4 for each envelope I had even though I had a prepaid shipping label on it. They are rude, unorganized, and apparently don’t understand how their own rules work.

Mail lady is very rude and I been having a important letter in my mail box (my flag been up) for 3 days and she still haven't took it...and Then when she does take my stuff she leaves the box open and flag still up. Like come on, if you hate your job get a new one!!!!

Horrible Customer Service. I dropped a prepaid package off for shipping and they forgot to accept it and it was late getting to my customer. I have bad luck with using them. My mail courier stuffs my mailbox with packages that are too big. I called the postmaster to complain and all they told me was to "get a bigger mailbox". I really am dissatisfied with my local mail office. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Okay to purchase stamps in person but good luck getting ANYTHING delivered correctly. Funny how tracked packages make it across the United States just fine and halt all progress when they hit Port Allen USPS. This is apparently where packages (boxes and bubble envelopes) come to die. Guaranteed delivery by Thursday at 3PM was paid for but this receiving office operates by its own rules. No guarantees or normal services are honored. You want your item? Pay the extra money and use FedEx.

I wish there was an option to not even give them a rating! These people are horrible and don't care at all about their customers. The carrier didn't want to leave a VERY IMPORTANT package because my dog was in the yard. Even though I was in the yard with her! Didn't slow down or anything! Could've blown the horn or gotten my attention. Nope! Just kept driving. I'm fed up with these horrible people. Doesn't do any good to complain to the post master, it never changes. Even tried to flag him down when he passed again..not a care in the world. F*** those people.
