“In and out! Had a dog injury their leg and the vet I used to go to was way down the road. Well didn't want to drive far especially with them in pain and in the car. Called and made an appointment, was only an hour after my call. They were down to earth and real. Didn't talk to you like a know it all vet.”
“I moved to Baton Rouge in 2023 with my then 85 pound American Bully. She had actually just gotten surgery before our move and I needed to quickly find a vet that I could trust to monitor her after care. After a recommendation from a classmate, I couldn't have chosen a better veterinarian practice. Dr. Anderson, Dr. Meade, and all of the technicians are welcoming, knowledgeable, and treat my girl as if she were their own. We are greeted warmly every visit and I never feel uneasy or question how I or my dog are being treated.The only downside to this practice is the cost a lot of times as it seems it can be a bit overpriced compared to some other local veterinarians. However, I am unsure if I would get the same care at other practices which I value, so that is ultimately why I choose to stay with Garden District.”

“I was watching a friends dog. Siegen Lane Animal Hospital is her vet. Dr Fazio and her staff are fantastic! They attended to the dog and were familiar with her. I arrived early in the morning and the kennel techs were busy walking dogs and tending to the boarding area. I have been to many veterinary offices and was very impressed with this one. I highly recommend this veterinary office.”
“Dr. Tobi and the whole staff at Bocage Animal Hospital is absolutely wonderful! Dr. Tobi always has the best interest of my pets and is extremely knowledgeable. She recently did a teeth cleaning on my mini golden doodle Tilly and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. We also have a very old lab and Dr. Tobi is so great with him too. I couldn’t recommend Bocage Animal Hospital more! They are also very affordable!”

“I brought my puppy in multiple times here. Dr. Greene is super nice and very informative with any questions and he will even ask you questions to make sure y'all talk about things which was great. The puppy shots were averaged price. I know places off Highland that cost double..but I wouldn't say GDAH was cheap. I can always get an appointment, and they are always helpful over the phone for any weird questions you may have. The sick pet fee is pretty high, which is unfortunate. I really like the atmosphere here but I do wish you could see them wipe down more things sometimes. My dog has peed on their floor and they were quick to clean it up.”
“Animal Health Clinic has been such a blessing! I adopted a senior dog two years ago who was very overweight and had a plethora of other issues that accompanied his extra pounds. Dr. Leonards and all of the techs were always patient with answering my questions. My old man did succumb to kidney failure, but the staff was so sweet through the entire process. Since his passing, I got a new dog & taking her to AHC was a no-brainer! The entire staff greets her so excitedly anytime we walk in and they are always ready to help us! There is no better vet in Baton Rouge!”

After a brief wait, Taliah greeting us with a burst of happiness; took us back and did a wonderful job with through intake and initial checkup as she shared in detail what she was doing and why. Then, Dr. Block entered. And, shared in detail as well as he asked questions and checked Ruede, my pup out. He was sure to go abo yve and beyond with responding to my questions and concerns; placing my heart at ease. Both Taliah and Dr. Block were professional and genuinely concerned as they informed and evaluate my pup. Thankful we found you all. Oh, and talk about southern hospitality, they offered snacks and a new patient gift bag. So cool and so unique!”

“I recently had to take my Frenchie, Ellé, down there because my local vet dx’d her with lymphoma. We went through their Small Animal Clinic ER and was quickly assessed and referred to the oncologist. Sadly, the lymphoma was very aggressive and I chose to bring her home on palliative care. She passed on 1-31-26. I can’t say enough good things about the hospital and the care and concern Dr. Hodgkiss gave her. It really meant a lot knowing that she got such tender and excellent care while away from me. Thank you.”
“I have brought in my 18 year old cat here for 2 different major problems in the last 2 months and LSU Vet Med did an outstanding job of taking care of him. My first time here was with Internal Medicine for a radioiodine treatment to cure his hyperthyroidism which was successful. They called me each day while he was boarded to let me know how he was doing. My second and most recent encounter was bringing him into Oncology for radiation treatments for the past month. All of the students, techs, residents, and doctors for both treatments were super kind and reassuring. I cannot thank them enough for giving my cat the best treatment possible.”
