Woodland Plantation is a charming and historic place to stay, offering a peaceful retreat not far from New Orleans. The main lodge dates back to 1834, and the buildings on the beautiful, well-maintained property are a throw back in time. Guests can enjoy a five course dinner, with insanely good food and the best seafood. Breakfast includes nice grits, eggs, toast, and fresh picked blackberries. The service is excellent, attentive, and top notch. The property is a very pleasant place to walk about, with a pond full of baby gators and one large one. It is a perfect and worth visiting place to stay for anyone.
