The Myrtles is a historic plantation property built in 1796. It is an amazing and beautiful place, offering much more than just an old house. Guests can explore the well-kept grounds, which include a graveyard, and walk over the whole place. The plantation itself is amazing and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Many visitors come for the historic and supernatural experiences. The property is known for its spirits and hauntings, offering a creepy and real atmosphere, especially at night. Popular activities include the complimentary day tour, the evening Mystery tour, and the opportunity to stay overnight in rooms like Ruffin Sterling or Fannie Williams for those seeking ghostly encounters. The staff is amazing, super helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and does a great job with the tours and adventures. The on-site restaurant is amazing, serving good breakfast and delicious food and drinks, with notable dishes like the Filet Mignon. The service is exceptional. The property is very safe, and nearby activities include visiting flea markets, antique shops, and beautiful old cemeteries. It is a relaxing stay with many places to sit and relax on the property.
Went on a daily history tour with the family with Rainy as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions about the house and its contents. We will definitely be back for the evening ghosttour and to stay the night!
