We were referred to this office by our general Vet. Our sweet Millie girl broke her leg. And from the time we walked in- during treatment- and after care we were always contacted and kept up to date. They took such great care of our Millie and CAN NOT RECOMMEND them enough!!! Dr was GREAT chair side and with explaining and answering All of our many questions. The front desk ladies were so welcoming and helpful! (Hopefully we won’t be back;) but if we do we will DEFINITELY be back! Thanks Doc and team for loving our fur baby as much as we do!

Very nice and compassionate staff. I had to put my dog down and they were very comforting and made the process as easy as it possibly could have been :(

I adopted the most perfect English Bulldog from them and for that I am grateful; however, I do not recommend this place. The place stinks. No other vet’s office I’ve been to has smelled so bad. My initial experience with Melanie was not good. She was rude. My second experience she was fake. The worst though is they performed cherry eye surgery on the dog that I adopted and they removed the third eye gland which is NOT the preferred method for this issue as it can cause the dog life long problems especially in this particular breed. The third gland is necessary for tear production. My dog will now need medication in her eye twice a day for the rest of her life. They should have simply placed the gland back into place. I also had to have the sutures they left in my dogs eyes cut out as they were scratching her cornea so badly. My baby also now has to wear a cone for the next week due to their carelessness and lack of knowledge.

By far the most compassionate, caring staff I have ever dealt with. Answers all my questions. Appointments available when I need them. Would not take my fur babies anywhere else.

Recently rescued a puppy from St. Gabriel Animal Hospital and have had nothing but great experiences. She was already spayed so we came back a few weeks later to have the staples taken out, and our girl was so excited to see the whole crew again. They are very welcoming, answer all questions with honesty and compassion, and Dr. Sod even gave her some chicken as a treat when she was all done. Can't thank them enough for what they do!

Adopted Sparkle a rescued Pomeranian. From making the first phone call to signing the adoption agreement was as if they knew I needed Sparkle in my life. Thanks for calling back checking on us. Sparkle and I are learning each other.

My first impression was great! The vet was very accommodating and was great with my dog who has trauma from previous vet experiences and I will forever be grateful for that. However, after diagnosing him with a torn ACL, he suggested surgery and they booked me in for the surgery almost immediately, within 4 days and charged me 100 for a reservation fee. They never had me sign anything or claimed that the fee was non refundable, they just said it was to reserve a spot and that it would go towards the surgery cost. They did not go over any other option nor did they provide me with any instructions or pain management for my dog. The vet was also adamant that the price of the surgery at his clinic was much lower than other practices. Low and behold, I went to another very reputable vet to get a second opinion and a quote and their price was lower and they also gave me instructions, medication, and told me that they suggested rest and anti inflammatory medications for three weeks and see how he does because his tendon was not all the way torn and he was bearing weight and not in much pain. The new vets said that they would not go immediately into such an invasive surgery without X-rays and other tests if he did not improve. I called St Gabriel animal hospital days in advance before the surgery was scheduled to get my deposit back and they claimed they would get back to me. They did not. I had to go in person and speak with the receptionist/vet tech and they said they would have the office manager call me back. I waited. Never got a call back. I called again, got ahold of the manager. All she had were excuses about why they hadn’t gotten back to me and was very patronizing, defensive, and rude. I would not suggest this clinic. Save your money and time and go to another vet clinic.

My partner and I adopted a pup from a shelter and had an incident with a bite. We tried to bring him back because we weren’t sure if we could handle his food aggression training, but they told us they’d have to euthanize him and we couldn’t do that to him. We reached out to St. Gabriel on Facebook and within minutes we had plans to drop him off the next day. We could not be any more grateful for these guys. They truly care about these animals and I’m so thankful! If you’re looking to adopt, ask to meet Howie (he is a good boy). ?

Took my toy poodle here for severe itching yesterday and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. Dr. Gary Sod is so down to earth and genuinely cares about animals. He does what he does because it's been his passion for many years and it shows. My dog is very leary of people and by the end of the visit, he was happy and calm. Luka is already feeling better this morning after his steroid shot! Thanks so much for the awesome care we recieved!!!

Dr. Sod comes off as very knowledgeable as well as a very kind man. However, be careful to take him at his word when it comes to expenses. When my dog had to have a second surgery I guess he could tell I was a little hesitant when I received their quote with both a low and high estimate. Without me even asking about it, he assured me, in the presence of the ladies at the front desk, that my bill would not exceed the minimum estimate they quoted me. I paid that minimum when I dropped my dog off the morning of the surgery. That afternoon when I went to pick him up they told me I owed them an additional $900. When I asked about the additional expense it all went downhill. So much for a man honoring his word. I won't be back as I can't do business with someone whose word I can't trust.
