“This is the FREIGHT place, not the Ground delivery across the street. These drivers drive the rigs, not the package trucks that deliver your packages to your door. Most people don't realize how big an operation Fed Ex is. We take every precaution to protect your packages and do our job, which is to deliver every package we get. But sometimes breakdowns in the system happen, its inevitable with a global operation this large. That being said, we deal with on a daily basis: customers/shippers who misaddress packages, line sorters who treat packages like they have arms made of noodles, shipers who send out 50lb boxes in single walled boxes that aren't designed to hold that weight taped together with what feels like scotch tape... You want to put a 60lb engine head in a thin cardboard box with cheap air filled plastic bags, and then wonder why it gets to its location dented and half coming out of said box... its physics.”
