“Can’t say enough great things about this place. It’s my preferred spot to go to in the Acadiana area. It’s also the furthest from my house from all the other ones (45mins). The atmosphere is superior to all the other spots no question. It’s effortless meeting new people with great conversation. They also have a couple brands that are harder to find like Foundation and other more boutique brands. Huge supply of the hard to find Liga Privada also. Their humidor isn’t the biggest but they are quality over quantity. Tell them what you’re in the mood for and they’ll get you set up. Enjoy the good times!”

“Probably my favorite cigar shop I’ve ever been to. I’ve been smoking cigars for about six months now and bought my first cigars at Pipers Haven. Mr. Rene was awesome explain to me the differences between different cigars as there’s a lot to learn as a beginner I had my golden retriever service dog with me And not once has any of the employees ever given me any grief about bringing him in there? As a matter fact, they love him and look forward to me coming just so they can see my dog. It’ll be the only place I ever buy cigars in Lafayette.”

“Great place to find a quality cigar, walk in humidor that is fairly large which can be a bit overwhelming to a new cigar smoker. However the staff will do their best to help you find something you will enjoy. Catch the right guy and you will leave with enough information to make your next cigar purchase more relaxing. They have a small lounge where you can kick back, relax, have a conversation with like minded people if that’s your thing. Also have pipe tobacco, cutters, humidors etc. really an awesome place I recommend you check it out.”

“I'm in town from Seattle visiting my family (I'm from Lafayette), and this was the closest shop to my mom's house that came up when I googled who sells kratom and cbd. I wasn't sure I'd be able to find the specific kratom extract I use, so I was incredibly happy to see they had it. Them having cbd vapes was a huge bonus, I'm used to being in a legal state and wasn't sure if I'd be able to even find cbd here. The man who helped me was friendly and helped me to get everything I was looking for. I was low on funds today, but I'll definitely be back to stock up on more kratom to last the rest of my visit! I will definitely come back to this shop when I'm in town in the future as well.”
“You ever have them days where you're down on your luck. Have so much on your mind you can't focus on anything. Counted up my change and stacked it up. On the way out the door I just grabbed 1 dollar and put it in a container not even thinking. Wouldn't have been much of a big deal but I walked 4 miles with a chipped bone in my hip and bad knees. Want to talk about embarrassing. I walked out with my head down to say the least. As soon as I started to think how the hell did this happen the cashier came out and asked me to come inside and she paid for my cigarettes. I walked out of the house wishing one person in the world cared for me and then she did this. I just needed one good thing to happen to me and she showed me this act of kindness. People don't understand how deep their actions affect others. We might forget them a few minutes after we leave but what you did could go on and on . some acts of kindness are we needed to keep going. I didn't get your name but I owe you 1 and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I broke down when I walked out that door because I needed that more than you know. As you can see in the picture the change is still sitting there I'll be bringing it by tomorrow. I can't thank you enough for what you just did ?”

“I am the manager referred to by Ms Hilliard. I would like to respond to her review. First, I am not the owner of the business. Second, it is difficult to respond to hearsay. Philip's Wholesale has been in operation for 65 years. We have never had these allegations made against us. That would be our strongest response. Philip's Wholesale is not open to the public in general. We are not a retail store, but a wholesale. For the majority of our sales, a customer must have a specialty license to purchase with us. Our doors have two way locks on them. It is not unusual that we would escort someone out of the building. Most of our solicitors are industry specific and would have called to make an appointment. It is rare to get a visitor that does not have specific business with our company. Two weeks ago Ms Hilliard made a cold call advertising visit. She did not make her purpose clear, so the two employees in the front office called me to address her. After a brief conversation, she got to the point of asking if she could post a banner on our fencing to promote the business she is employed by. I told her that we do not advertise for other businesses, and escorted her to the door. She reentered the business two more times, first asking for a business card, and second asking for my name. I opened the door and allowed her entrance both times and escorted her out each time. I was never out of earshot of at least 3 employees. As a personal response to these allegations, I am a Christian who tries to see each person as an individual. I have never had such a claim made about me in my life. Anyone can claim anything, but there were witnesses who do not agree with Ms Hilliard's claims. We could not stay in business if that were truly the attitude of anyone in this business. Please note: in order to post, I had to rate the business. I am giving 5 stars to the employees of this business, most who have been with us over 15 years, and all who are part of the family.”
“I love watching people freaking out when the clerk asks for their i.d. It's their stores policy for all alcohol and tobacco sales and some people just don't understand why they can't get away with not obeying the stores policy like they are the exception to it . Staff is as always kind , courteous , and very helpful every time we go .”
