Currently 17 days into waiting for two rings to have stones tightened (not replaced). I dropped my rings off for repair on 3/16. This location apparently does not have a jeweler on site, and my rings had to be sent off for repair. I didn't know this beforehand and in the future will not be choosing to use a Fine Jewelry store who does not actually have a jeweler. Lee Michaels has not initiated contact a single time. I've contacted them twice. The first time I was told it would be ready by 3/29. The second time I called (on 4/2), I was told it should be in that day. When I questioned about the price since I did not receive a call with the estimate, I was told the ring was on hold, pending price approval. How is it supposed to be in today if it is pending approval to be fixed? I will update the review with the final number of days it took to tighten stones once I actually receive my rings back.

Walked in on a Saturday to replace 1 small pave diamond on my infinity band. I’ve had it done at other jewelers before without issue for well <$100, no drama. My usual shop next door was closed, so I went to Lee Michaels.I’ve walked in before, and felt like a piece of meat, with all the sales people drooling to sell you something right away. It always felt snooty to me. But I needed the ring fixed. So I asked someone to help me with it. She took my band to clean it. I asked her if she wouldn’t mind doing the engagement ring while she was at it. (Other stores would offer to clean them both without me having to ask but OK.) She comes back 30 secs later (not enough time to clean it adequately) & she’s like, “let me test it really quick.” Ok.Then she takes me aside as if she’s delivering the worst news she’s ever told anyone, and she says, “Has anyone ever told you there’s a chance your ring isn’t real?” I’m like “Excuse me?” Then she says “Well, I mean, it’s real diamond, but it’s lab-created.” I’m like “Umm, not that it matters, but it’s a real pave band. I just need a replacement stone.” She goes on to say that unless every pave stone is GIA certified, they cannot replace the pave stone at Lee Michaels. A TINY PAVE STONE. Laughable, but ok.After this, just to see their machine’s accuracy & because I’m annoyed they refuse to fix my real diamond band because it’s not real diamonds (according to them), I ask her to test the large engagement ring stone. Same result. She’s like, “It’s lab-created too.” Now I’m laughing because I tell her I literally have a GIA certificate, showing it’s a natural real diamond (not that it matters, but it apparently matters to Lee Michaels), & that her machine is broken or needs recalibration. Saleslady DOUBLES DOWN, asking me how much husband paid for the band & engagement ring. I literally went online in front of her & a manager, pulled up GIA.edu, entered in my GIA number for my engagement stone, and it pulled up the natural stone report. At this point, since my ring was out of my hands in their store, I felt uncomfortable leaving without reading the GIA # under a loop on my stone right then & there. Lo & behold, when the manager read the numbers on my stone, it matched the GIA report. They still would not admit that their machine was flawed. They made such a huge scene, I was so embarrassed in the store, that I took my rings, and I will always take my business elsewhere.I came in for a micro pave diamond to replace on my band, and I left with the sickest feeling about this snooty store.Do yourself a favor and go next-door to Lockhart Jewelers. They have ALWAYS treated me & my pieces with the upmost respect, even if it was replacing a $10 battery on a swatch watch. If they had been open, I wouldn’t have even stepped foot in Lee Michaels. I can assure you it will be the last time I do.

Absolutely the best sales person I have ever met. Joey did an excellent job working with me to find what I wanted without trying to sell me something I didn't want or need. He did a fine job from the point I called the store on the phone to walking out of the door. If I am ever in the market again for something I know exactly who I would call. The options in the store are seemingly endless with something for every walk of life. Awesome store and service. I would highly recommend this store to anyone in the market.
