I made an appt with my son, who lost his glasses on a fishing Boat accident, almost a month ago, I called ABC&E the very next day as my Poor child is very near sighted and is having a very hard time without his glasses. He's getting headaches, nausea, ect. And has not been doing well getting around at school without them. At home he basically stays in bed. ?. When I made the appt I expressed the type of insurance we have. Because we were given the run around at eye doctors for the past year. Was told they accept it. Waited a week for the appointment, we go in and were told by a very rude woman, "WE DONT TAKE THIS INSURANCE. SO, WHAT YOU WANNA DO???" I had absolutely no choice to pay out of pocket. My son could not WAIT any longer than he has to for glasses. We got two pairs, so he will have a backup ready if he needs them..... We expressed his dire need for the expedition of his glasses, and the doctor understood fully. She even gave him some tips on how to deal with the headaches and the nausea from his vision. She was awesome. We were told his glasses would be in no later than 3/18. I called the office today to check if they were in and the lady who answered said "Did you get a call or text saying they were in?" I said "No but we were told they would be in no later than 3/18 and today is 3/20." She put me on hold and comes back to tell me, "The order is completed but they haven't been shipped to us yet and I dont know how long its gonna be."So ABE&C, As much money as i've spent for those glasses, out of pocket, how much longer does my Son have to wait for his glasses?

Never have I ever been in an establishment where people don’t want to do their job. I went in to get a warranty replacement for my daughter’s glasses that were purchased in Ohio at Eyeglass World. They refused to help me and this is the second time I’ve been denied service in this store because of lack of knowledge from the store manager and Makala. It’s embarrassing to go in a store that you have worked in before with 5+ years of experience and also my Mother is a GM and has been for 8+ years for the same corporate company is a disgrace.

Great crew at America's Best. Very thorough eye exam great choice of frames and contacts. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Waiting on my glasses and contacts to come in will update to 5 stars once I receive them.update received my glasses and contacts came really quick and I love them. Great job America's Best.

The staff and doctor are excellent! I was greeted when I walked in. Checking in was easy since I filled my paperwork out through my email. The technician did a great job with my prescreening and was very professional in explaining the different screenings she did. The doctor was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. And the ladies were very helpful and gave me great advice about the frames and lens options. The prices are great also.

I loved coming here! The staff made me feel like family from the front desk to the doctors office. Everyone was so warm, pleasant and inviting. They made sure all of my needs were taken care of. Even the Manager, Ms. Angela was so pleasant and helpful. I was thoroughly impressed. It was honestly the best experience I’ve ever had having an eye exam and purchasing glasses. I will be coming here for many more years! Thank you so much Americas Best! Because of this store, you all have a life long customer. Keep up the good work!

My experience today at america’s best was nothing less than superb, the staff was attentive and well mannered, they put their best foot forward in making sure not only I but the other customers were well taken care of. The explanation of the different glasses options and how their pricing system works was really helpful. My insurance covered most of it, I didn’t mind having to pay the taxes, that was nothing compared to what my cost would have been, will definitely be coming back, thank you to all the staff for the comforting and blissful experience.

Found my new optical clinic in Slidell!! The appointment was fast and efficient. All the staff were great especially Ms Angela. She was so friendly and informative. Will definitely be coming back and recommending it.

I gave 3 stars only because some of the staff are horribly unprofessional and rude..We had 3 appointments booked and almost walked because of the way a tech treated the girl working at the front counter in front of approx.6 people.Although the other 2 people were just waiting for their friend,and another gentleman was asking about replacing his lenses with same frames,with another worker.Daniele the sweet and professional girl working front desk asked the tech(Mandy)a question and Mandy walked off saying I’ll do my job,you do yours..It was a question pertaining to clinic so it was a both of their jobs.Mandy the. Begun mumbling under her breath and walked off and wouldn’t answer Danielle and proceeded to be so rude we decided at that point we were not going to stay for our appointments.Her attitude gave us a no confidence vote.Danielle remained professional and set us up with another tech who was wonderful as Danielle.The doctor was amazing,very efficient, knowledgeable,and personable.Mandy needs to act her wage,and learn professional curtesy,as well how to talk to and interact with customers.I applaud Danielle in keeping her smile and composure because I for 1 definitely would have had to put Mandy right back in her place.

At my recent appointment here, I expressed concern about having a cloudy spot in my field of vision in one eye along with my eyes feeling tired daily. I was told "you just need a stronger prescription" and that the vision in that one eye had declined significantly since last year. A 2nd opinion with better imaging revealed a spot near my retina and dry eyes that need warm compresses and daily eye drops. My 2nd opinion eye exam revealed a mild change needed to my prescription, not the radical change the America's Best provider wanted to make. Their glasses are fine, but I will never again schedule an eye exam with them.

Don’t go to this location! Save your time and energy and choose any location that is NOT this one. I was 7 minutes late to my appointment and although the manager stated there is a TEN MINUTE grace period she still canceled my appointment and basically told me I would need to reschedule after I explained to her several times that I drove all the way here and really need to be seen! She did not care. Unprofessional and inconsiderate to say the very least!

The customer service at this location was the best I’ve ever received! I had a few insurance issues, which they happily helped me sort out. They were extremely thorough in explaining the cost of everything, helped me get the most out of my insurance benefits, and walked me thru picking out frames.The “triage” worker was great at all of those wonderful pre-tests. It was the first time I had never panicked/jumped during the puff of air machine! ?The doctor was incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and thorough.I can’t recommend them enough!
