My vehicle’s battery died after driving about an hour from the airport. I called this location since it was near where my disabled vehicle was located. Customer service let me know I was on my own and that they wouldn’t help.

Rented a minivan from the Canal St New Orleans Budget location to drive to Slidell for a swamp tour. Immediately after leaving from the swamp tour the tire on the rental started to go flat. Called the Canal St location because I thought they could offer some assistance. I purchased the $30/day full coverage and incorrectly assumed that covered roadside assistance issues. The rep from the Canal St location was rude and offered me absolutely no sort of assistance as to what I should do. I called the Slidell location thinking maybe they could help and I could swap out vehicles or something. Shawn was awesome! He said there were no other vehicles available to swap but if we could get air in it and get it to him he would try to patch up the tire. Luckily we were only 2.5 miles away and made it to Shawn who saved the day. He patched up the tire and showed us the huge chunk of metal that we apparently ran over. Because of Shawn we made it to the airport just in time to make out flight. Not only was Shawn a lifesaver for us, he was so kind and happy to help us. He easily could’ve gave me the old “not my problem/there’s nothing I can do” line, but instead he went above and beyond. We really wanted to give him a tip because we were so grateful for him, but he wouldn’t even take it. Budget is lucky to have such an awesome employee to represent their company. Thanks again Shawn!!

Do not rent from this company! I was denied my reservation because of a low credit score, but was not advised of a need for good credit until 2 days before, or else I would have gone elsewhere to begin with. After being denied, I was advised that I was locked out of their system for two days, and to maybe try getting a U-haul van for my vacation. I went to Enterprise across town and had a much better experience.

After the agent was unable to use the remote unlock to open the rental , she succeeded with unlocking the hood, I used their emergency roadside assistance to come out and get the keys that were locked in. I asked multiple times if it is free of charge and got a response back multiple times YES. That was on October 1st on October 8th I got a $218 bill from them. I then disputed the charges with the manager on duty and he said it is an upper management decision and he is sending the complaint to them and there will still be a charge. I was told upper management does not accept calls and I will not be getting a call back on my dispute. I then called my insurance agency which i utilized my own insurance not budgets and will be reimbursed. The manager couldn't listen to the call which knowingly it was recorded for "training purposes." The fact of the matter is i was lied to and knowing what i know now i would of utilized pop a lock for $98 and avoided this hassle

I will never rent Anything from them! I was been harassed by my landlord, she was harassing me calling them, I have three police report, The manager of the store even called me to saying my landlord was harassing them, I couldn’t move my truck for three days, I called them also the police called, money was still taken off my card for those days, I even told them to take the truck back they refuse to do so, I was left to pay for days I never use, I will not recommend anyone to deal with budget At all, I could’ve been killed or anything they didn’t care...

Whoever gave them a 5-star review must work there or something because my experience was terrible. Godawful customer service. Went to Enterprise and twenty minutes later I was driving away in a rental.
