Compared to most of the local stores, Rouses has the best meat department and seafood department. I still would prefer them to have their own bakery at store like more of the high-end stores have in other areas. Frozen thawed out bread is a Walmart strategy. Fresh baked bread is an enticing, siren song.

I stood at the counter, trying to buy a specialty bottle of tequila for about five minutes and that would be the second greeting. After five minutes yet, and they both looked at me and then Aaron said I’ll be with you in a minute. I’ve always known Rouses to charge more and give you great service and have great product selection. Today was not that.

Get anything on food bars EXCEPT Breakfast. It's really bad & $6.99/lb! Melissa is bakery is GREAT ask for her for your cakes. Great food, service, gifts, alcohol options... ambiance is alright. Café where you sit down to eat could def be cleaner. Great bakery. Melissa does the best cakes! Def a great salad bar option to have & hot food, especially since Winn-Dixie closed & Salad Station is the only other healthy option here & a little pricey. Not an affordable grocery per say, but you get what you pay for & Rouses is a one-stop shop of quality for whatever gifting, hosting, entertaining, don't feel like cooking nights you have to do!

I ordered a King cake because the people we were spending the weekend with had never had one. They had it ready and made fresh at the time I had requested. When I went to pay, there was only 2 registers open and the lines were long and slow.
