I know a lot of people complain about service but I have never had any problems and I use them every month.

When I went to drop off my prescription, the young woman at the register (African-American, approximately 25+) was dismissive. She did not greet me or acknowledge my presence, and after some delay, she simply asked, “Pick up?” I informed her I was dropping off a prescription, and she told me it would be ready in an hour.
When I returned an hour later, another African-American woman with dreadlocks told me I’d need to wait an additional 30 minutes. I explained I was in pain and had already waited, but she ignored me and called the next customer. When I asked again, she said, “I didn’t tell you an hour—it’s 30 more minutes.”
Frustrated, I returned a few minutes later to request my prescription back. The first woman I spoke with ignored my request and began chatting with another employee. When I asked again, she responded dismissively, “I heard you.” At that point, a Caucasian woman brought my prescription from the back, apologized, and said it was actually ready. I declined the medication and said I would go elsewhere, as I felt it had been intentionally withheld.
A different white employee later approached me to apologize for the unprofessional behavior. She confirmed that my prescription had been ready and bagged, contradicting what I was previously.

Slow. Rude. (Usually) Always out of stock of various prescriptions. Updated to 1 star. More of the same nonsense.

Drive up pharmacy is pretty slow most of the time but today went smoothly and seemed quicker.
Pharmacists at the windows were very friendly.

The store itself looks a little tired. Could use a remodel or at least a refresh. The staff was nice enough. The drive-through was quick enough for it being peak after work hours. Overall, it was an okay experience.

Ever since the Walgreens on Pontchartrain took over Winn Dixie pharmacy customers, service at the pharmacy service is pathetic. I dropped a prescription more than 36 hrs ago. This is the 3rd time I came to pick up prescriptions and still not ready. This has been going on every month for 5 months. Therefore, Sam’s Club is my new pharmacy.

Very good pricing for people without insurance. However, it typically takes over an hour to get a prescription once it's called in

I have been a customer at this location for 9 years. Sometimes, they're slow, but they always come through. Really, I know people say negative things about this pharmacy, but they've always been nice to me, especially since it's just a very busy store.
They've never mistreated me. I like coming to this particular location. I buy my makeup there? Get my prescriptions. I even get Halloween candy! I even use the photo department. For gifts they make excellent gifts. And I made posters from photographs and magnets for myrefrigerator. I'm glad that I have a Walgreens so close to my work and home.. I appreciate how well they treat me.

I am so glad to know that I’m not the only one disappointed in my experience. We were transferred over to Walgreens on Ponchatrain after the Winn Dixie Rx closed. We have been disappointed in the poor service, lack of availability of medication, and we continue to get misinformation about the availability of medication only to arrive and be sent home or to another pharmacy.
I’m going to transfer to another pharmacy as soon as possible.

I acknowledge that the team at the Pontchartrain location is very busy and they have to service a high volume of customers, so that is probably a major contributing factor to the attitudes that you may encounter there, but it should not be an excuse. I am afraid that the staff is so rude there that someone may take their meds incorrectly because they are afraid to ask a question. I witnessed the eye rolling as an elderly gentleman asked the same question more than once and he was sent away with the same puzzled look on his face. That is dangerous! We asked recently why no one called to let us know my husband's insulin which was on auto refill had no refills left and the staff AND the manager told us that it's not their job to call the customers. The customers should log in and see and act accordingly. This wasn't just one time, either, that they were outright rude and disrespectful, particularly to an elderly customer. Take your prescriptions elsewhere if you want any semblance of good customer service and care, which is what you should demand and expect as a customer, especially from a PHARMACY.

The rudeness runs rampant in the employees here, Sam’s club pharmacy is a better choice all around. They are kind and treat you with respect.

They do not keep adequate stock of medications, staff will not check availability in surrounding stores. Take your prescription refills elsewhere.

Horrible in every way. Front street is wonderful. Pontchartrain drive hate everyone. They don't discriminate. They hate everyone equally.
