We booked for a specific boat and captain. Once we get to the dock find out we get a different captain different boat. We did get one tuna and an eight hour boat ride. The captain and deck hand and did all the “fishing”. All on the charter had a great deal of fishing experience. This was not what we expected. Can not recommend and further say to avoid. Other boats from same dock came back loaded. I realize the nature of fishing and Chad did try to find fish. But result was the same one fish compared to what we saw on the dock.

Went out with Captain Marty she was short with the deck hand all day creating tension on the trip only caught one fish although they were biting good enough only tried one method to get hooked up I am an experienced fisherman and know that there are allot of methods and that you must adapt to the situation at hand but there was 0 effort made to adapt talked to other guys who went on much cheaper tuna trips same place same day and limited out maybe she had a bad day but as a customer who payed a lot of money for this trip I was completely unsatisfied

We have fished 2 times with Austin at Gulf of America charters in Venice Louisiana. We have killed the yellowfin both times. The second trip we boated a 160# cow. What a thrill to see a yellowfin that size come into the boat!The Freeman is an incredible boat- so comfortable, you can sleep on the way out and on the way back.Austin and first mate Matt are kind, gracious and make the day enjoyable.Austin is the tuna whisperer- we caught more fish than the other charter boats both times!

This company is very professional and knowledgeable about off shore fishing. The captain and deckhand worked non-stop to keep all of us happy and on the fish. We caught some massive Yellowfin Tuna, Red Snapper, Mahi, and a Blue Marlin. INCREDIBLE!

Adam and Captain Martha took our crew out for an exciting day of off-shore fishing. We quickly filled the boat with tuna and went after some swords with the time we had left! We’re still eating tuna! Book with Gulf of America if you want to have a successful fishing trip, we will be back!
