Thank you to Steve and Gabrielle for your amazing customer service when I spoke w/ you recently. I appreciate your quick turn around time in the order processing and your willingness to help on a private (non-wholesale) sale. You have a customer for life!

The knitted goods are attractive and the staff is helpful and willing to order items that they don't currently have in stock. It's an interesting shop, worth a visit!

Would give this ZERO stars if I could....not for the clothes but for the shop and its PRICE GOUGING activities. Today I stopped in this store (Bar Harbour) before leaving for Portland. Found a lovely sweater. Bought it and some yarn after the salesmen promised this was the best price. Arrived in Portland and while walking around saw the same store. Popped in there because there was a scarf I wished I had bought. Shocked to discover that my sweater and yarn were 30-40% less than I had paid in Bar Harbor. None of these items were clearance or “on sale”. When I queried why the difference in price....no answer and NO exchanges accepted. Appears to be accepted that the company allows PRICE GOUGING in order to sell their wares. Dishonest and very disappointing. Beautiful sweaters but won’t ever shop at this company again.

Not sure what the other reviewers saw, we were at their retail store in town. Very patient manager who shared a lot of info on care and my wife got to try on a few things before she picked a great sweater and my son got some nice gloves. No telling yet how long they'll last, but I'm happy to see trade coming out of South America from one store as opposed to a conglomerate. Also, reasonable prices considering some other stores I've seen.

Adorable boutique nearby I've been meaning to visit. Finally came by- there's a private lot. But be careful going up the ramp it's icy in the winter. Inside is the softest wear you've ever touched. They have a large collection of things for women and men. We got a hat and mittens. They even have yarn to knit your own. There's about three rooms full of stuff. There is even a bargain section- but it's still expensive. Everything is quite pricey. But to think it's pure alpaca it's pretty cool. Some of it comes from there own farm right there. They have two alpacas out back! I would recommend they have a cheap section. Maybe with postcards and gloves or scarves. Might sell a bit more. I also didn't give it 5 stars because I really wanted to pet an alpaca. It would be cool if we got to meet and feed them or something. Even if we had to pay to do it, it would still be worth it.

We buy most of our inventory from Peruvian Link because of the high level of service they provide as well as the good quality and workmanship of their alpaca products. We do not have to keep a big inventory for our alpaca shop since Peruvian Link will ship the same day we order in most cases...so we get in an order every couple of weeks. Our alpaca farm and shop have been very successful and it is due in large part to our primary supplier: Peruvian Link.
