The pharmacist at this store is absolutely FANTASTIC! He is so polite and helpful, he will go ABOVE and beyond his job to help you. I refuse to go anywhere else because of him.

I have had it with this pharmacy, completely changing my pharmacy. Everytime I go pick up my meds, the pharmacy is closed when the website says it is open plus they aren't open on weekends, they have lost my business.

Pharmacist is great but the store itself is terrible. The phone system is complete junk. Don’t expect anyone to answer you. After Walgreens purchased this facility it went downhill fast. It’s a shame that Rite Aid is gone.

I’m not sure where my original review went, but it seems to have disappeared, so I’ll review AGAIN, this time trying to recall the details from a few months ago - on August 27th. Apologies for any omissions.We’ve had a few incidents with the Auburn Maine Walgreens. We’ve been at the drive thru, waited, rung the call bell, and ignored until we left. After that, I waited a few days & called to speak with someone about a time sensitive prescription that I needed to pick up for a scheduled surgical procedure on Monday morning. I got the recording, was told I was 4th in line. My call would be answered in the order it was received. I waited a few minutes, and was updated that I was now 3rd in line - GREAT! Making progress! This is where things take a turn. I continue to hold - over 30 minutes later, I hear the message change, telling me that the Pharmacy is now closed for lunch. I can continue to hold for 30 minutes, and they’ll take my call when they return. I wasn’t happy, but waited for their lunch to be over. Now, the messages seemed to change. I was told to stay on hold, but never got updated on how many people were ahead of me in line. Still I waited. Nearly two hours after my original call I decided to get in my car with the recording still playing and drive to the store. I walked in, and the Pharmacy was locked up, metal walls in place … nobody there!! I turned around to ask the front counter people what was going on … I was told that the Pharmacy had been closed all day!?If they’d been closed all this time, why wasn’t that the message I heard when I first called?!I have photos that I took that day. Of the closed pharmacy, and of my phone showing how long I’d been on hold. This is unacceptable, and to be honest, I’d like to hear why, or how this happened, and I’d appreciate an apology!Rite Aid was a much better store.

Do not go here for Covid testing. Got a confirmation email day of appointment, yet pharmacy was closed and no one was available. No sign or notice to let people know. I understand staff shortages, but a call or email would have been nice. Also no one answers the phone here. Complete waste of time.

I had a time sensitive prescription called in there three days ago. We waited for a call, or text to pick it up, but never heard from them, so two days ago we drove over and sat in the drive thru for quite a few minutes. Nobody helped us, or even bothered to acknowledge us while we were there. We left because we had a prior commitment to attend. This review is specific to the Pharmacy, not the store. Their Pharmacy is experiencing staffing challenges and is unable to maintain normal operating hours. I get it. Staffing is an issue in a lot of organizations right now, especially health care. My specific concern is when a customer schedules a COVID test with the Pharmacy, receives a confirmation email after booking, and a reminder email about the appointment a few hours before the scheduled test only to present to the drive-thru Pharmacy to find a sign stating the Pharmacy is closed for the entire day. Instead of sending a reminder about the appointment, why not notify your customers the Pharmacy will be unexpectedly closed and work to rebook those appointments elsewhere or on a different date? Staff in the store were very helpful and explained they are having Pharmacy staffing issues at Walgreens across the state of Maine. They were directed to send any Pharmacy customers to another local Walgreens. The only problem with that open Pharmacy is three others Walgreens were redirecting customers to that location, resulting in a line of cars through the entire parking lot and down the busy road leading to the store. A 2-3 hour wait at a new location after the original Pharmacy staff abandoned their scheduled appointments with customers is unacceptable. There are certainly more efficient ways Walgreens Pharmacy Management can lead their operations in light of their staffing challenges. Proactive communication with the customer would be a good start. I recommend residents of Maine strongly consider Pharmacy options other than Walgreens until they can get all of this sorted, especially if you are looking for COVID testing. I am also notifying the Maine CDC of my experience with Walgreens as their website on COVID testing options in the state is directing people to Walgreens and no other Pharmacies.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. They call 20 times a week about the same prescription being available for pick up, when it's literally lancets. But my absolutely necessary diabetic medication regularly goes out of stock?? I don't get this place. They are disorganized and struggle to find my prescriptions half the time. I'm going to end up swapping to the one in Auburn but grief...get it together.
