Where else can you get most of the stuff you may need without driving to multiple stores. It's the only place to buy anything at 10 pm. I believe you the infamous website People or Walmart is a great representation of the Auburn Walmart. Beware of the parking pole. The one that is bent appears to have an oddly magnetic pull that focuses solely on cars and trucks

This store has gone downhill so badly. There are never enough registers opened with cashiers. You always have to use self checkouts and most of the time the card reader isn't working and never anyone around to help you out, so the line for so called faster service with self checkouts doesn't exist. Plus with this crap about no bags(or you pay for bags)is a royal pain in the you know what. I know that wasn't Walmart's fault, but I do know they were headed that way. Never anyone on the sales floor to help with anything because they are shopping for people who don't want to come to Walmart (and I don't blame them) I only come to Walmart when I truly need to. The only department in Walmart that is doing a great job is the pharmacy. Kudos to them. I could go on and on about how bad things are at this store but I won't. You see the biggest problem with this store is the store manager. He has been at this place for so long he doesn't give a rat's behind about the place. It is just a job, so no big deal for him. Hope you all enjoy reading this.

So sad to see more self check outs then cashiers. I feel like this is taking the place of a job for someone. The store was clean, and organized with shelves being stocked. I needed help finding office supplies, a shipping box, and I was directed by the clearance isle. Parking was easy, and shopping was in and out.

I am actually surprised since usually I come to have low expectations for Wal Mart given past experiences. Convenient location since I stay at the Residence Inn right next to this Wal Mart in Auburn. Their groceries and meat section have been way better than expected. Decent and fresh produce like lettuce, peppers both jalapeno and serranos, onions both yellow and white, tomatoes, cilantro. Was pleasantly surprised at the t-bone steak quality. Grilled one, loved and did it again! Cool. Chicken and shrimp decent (get the large). Able to find most things but not everything I was looking for. For instance, always out of Hepa filters in smaller sizes, does not carry crustacean utensils like the little forks but had a nice shell cracker to open crab legs. Speaking of crab legs, the Jonah crab legs were a pleasant surprise so I had them twice. Not as good as florida stone crab legs but decent. Easy parking, in general friendly staff when you can find them. Good hours. Safe to shop there. Decent prices. All good.

With regard to this latest catastrophe - the Coronavirus - it's not possible to find basic items in this store. These knuckle-dragging, beer-guzzling, suspender-wearing Mainers are hording toilet paper as if they are literally s$$$$ing their pants every minute of the day, and it isn't even one of the symptoms involved with this particular disease!!!!!!!!!! Walmart is aiding and abetting them by allowing this stupidity to continue and not limiting the number of packages, the number of bottles of alcohol, peroxide, face masks (and they won't help, incidentally) or any other item perceived by the store as disappearing the minute it comes in the door. The rest of us with a modicum of intelligence have the right to expect to be able to purchase these when we have the need. This store already does a less than admirable job of keeping items stocked.

The receipt says i placed my order for a synthetic oil change (and nothing more) at 11:36, then I shopped around until 12. I asked the girl up front at the cars service desk she said it wasn't done at 12:10 and she was very rude and defensive about it. I went back up at 12:35 and asked again and they said "oh they just finished it". My receipt says they finished it at 11:51 they suck. I'm just gonna go to prompto or something. It happens every time. They never called, they never came and got me, I always have to be that guy and ask if my car is done. Last time this happened the girl up front yelled at me in front of 5 other people in line and my stuff had actually been done so she apologized but still. The two car girls, the blonde one and the older brunette with glasses at the desk are always so rude and defensive. They have no passion for their job or their customers. They aren't a good face for the service area. The people doing the real work in that area are great. I wish I only dealt with them. I would've been in and out in 30 minutes and on to other things I have to do today but no, I spent almost an hour sitting in the waiting area looking like an idiot. Thanks girls, for showing me that I shouldn't be going to Walmart for actual things in life.

Walmart auto center was the only place with availability to install a battery yesterday so I didn't really have an option... When I called there was no wait, but by the time I got to Auburn there were 3 people ahead of me. I got there just in time because another 3 came in behind me. It became quite clear to me that one should only come here if you have a lot of time to waste or are desperate to get work done stat. The battery installation was free but it took about 45 minutes. My car window hasnt gone auto up/down since they installed the battery. Not sure if it's something they did or otherwise.

Everybody is familiar with the typical Walmart experience. For better or worse, this is the stereotypical Walmart. Except for loss prevention, I don't think anybody has a clue as to what is going on with shelf conditions or customer service. With recent remodel, they have basically forced customers to be their own cashier. If they could legally do so, they would have the customers stock the shelves. Not that it's a bad thing. Most cashiers are painfully slow, and once you get used to self check out and being suspected as a thief, at least you are in a line that moves. And I must mention the plastic "bags"....I mean, they could not be any cheaper, have no real usable shape to them, and hold next to nothing in weight. Customer service? I have to admit there are a few folks in electronics that know what they are doing and are very helpful. Other than that, you have a few helpful associates, but most questions will be responded with a Deer caught in the headlights kind of look. But I feel bad for anybody who works there. I couldn't do it for $30 an hour, you are dealing with too many customers that act and look like animals. Plus even with security cameras covering every square inch of the store, empty packages of product seen through out the store suggest they attract a very dishonest clientele. It's creepy. However, as much as I dislike this place, I still shop there if I happen to be in Auburn. The prices overall are okay, and you have almost anything you need under one roof. I have to begrudgingly give this one 2 stars. You want 1 star? Spend some time on their aggravating and useless website.

This is regarding the Auto Department in Auburn. My Dad (87 years old) had to have his car towed to Walmart due to two flats. They could not have been more helpful to him. He did not have enough cash on him at the time to pay for tires, and they offered to cover the cost for him until he went home and returned with the rest of money. Not only did they do that, they also offered him rides etc. A woman by the name of Crystal, from what my Dad tells me, was the nicest person he has come across in a long time. He worked it all out in the end. He did not need the ride or them paying money for him, but just that they were trying to be helpful in anyway they could, speaks volumes. Thank you to Crystal and the rest of the Auburn Walmart Auto Department for going above and beyond to help my Dad!!!!
