Extremely Disappointed – Poor Communication and Long Wait Times
I truly wish I could give zero stars. I walked into J Salon around noon and was told they could take me in about 40 minutes. I appreciated the estimate and went out for lunch. When I checked back in, they said to return in about 30 minutes—around 1:00 PM.
I came back promptly at 1:00 PM, and the stylist was still finishing with another client. After a short wait, she finally seated me and had me soak my feet. She said she’d be “back in a few minutes” but never gave a clear timeframe.
Over 30 minutes passed—feet still soaking, no updates, and no one returned. At that point, I decided to leave.
This level of service is unacceptable. A little clear communication would have gone a long way. I would have gladly adjusted my schedule if they had simply told me the truth about the wait time. I left feeling frustrated and completely disregarded.
I won’t be returning—and I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone.

Brittany is awesome for my nails and toes! Sitting there every two weeks, I've seen the people and everyone there is so friendly and warm. It is a wonderful place to be and I always feel happy when I go there.

Absolutely fell in love with the atmosphere the first time I walked through the door! I got a perm done by Paula who got me in as soon as she could! Everyone there makes you feel very comfortable, they listen to your words and you always walk out with what you want between hair and nails!

Brittany is an amazing Nail artist! She is so creative and accommodating. She works with me to find appointment times that works for my schedule. I love the nail art she does and they make my manicures very special! The hot oil treatment I get for my pedicures is so relaxing. Johanna is an awesome stylist! I trust her fully with my hair and when it comes to coloring it she has never missed and my hair has been so much healthier since I have been following her advice. The team works so well together and they make the environment of the salon fun and welcoming. I always recommend that people go to this salon!!!

Thank you, thank you , THANK YOU, PAULA!No judgment on my ignored mom hair, just concentrated on what I wanted it to be. Highlights and toner came out perfect, with my hint of lilac. Hair porosity is perfect after, like bleach never touched it. Knowledge is everything, and she's got it.

I have been going to Paula Wallace for almost 5 years now for highlights etc. She was recommended to me by a gal I randomly met at a nail salon. Since I had just moved here from California, I was worried that anyone I found wouldn’t do what I liked to my hair. Paula was outstanding and surpassed all of my expectations. Over the years, I’ve continued to exclusively go to Paula for all of my highlights and hair cuts. She also cuts my daughter’s hair and my son’s hair. I would recommend her to anyone! The entire salon is filled with positive energy and most often laughter. It’s the type of place where you get excited to go.

So far I’ve used this salon for nails. It is by far one of the cleanest environments I’ve seen. Beautiful surroundings. This salon also has lots of positive energy yet it’s relaxing!

Incredibly knowledgeable and experienced!!! These people know hair, eyebrows, nails, and everything of beauty! A very comfortable atmosphere with lots of laughter, everyone is very happy here and it shows! They offer a lot of services that are not offered elsewhere as well which I think is so cool. Always treating customers more like guests by asking if they need anything and making sure comfort levels exceed expectations. I would highly recommend J Salon if you are looking for a place to be beautified and laugh with enjoyable company at the same time :)

The inside is small, but not crowded at all. They offered drinks, snacks, and candies! I was intimidated walking in, purely because it was so beautiful. The place and everyone working there! They’re personable, talkative, and super friendly. I sat down, Michelle asked me what I wanted to do, told me what she noticed, and asked questions etc. I was educated on my own hair, and on hair in general. They work with you, and listen to what YOU want, while also giving their own professional opinion. I have never been so smiley leaving a salon. I cannot wait to go back!Services: Haircut
