While there was an emergency room wait, the whole process was efficient, the personnel courteous and the food well presented and tasty (except for the broccoli of course). I was admitted with a serious condition. I felt well cared for and my issues were resolved quickly. I would add the staff, from housekeeping to physicians, were very patient oriented and pleasant.

In the emergency room for four hours. Took two weeks to get my surgery done.

Came in for breast exam and bone density test. My technician was Amy. The breast exam was done in an efficient manner but the bone density test was a different story. She had some trouble with the images. I worry that the test results will not be correct. I felt that she was rude at the end stating why didn't I go to Maine Coast.

I cannot fathom how this is supposed to be the better hospital. There is no care or concern for patients. Instead you're supposed to wait months to get appointments and when it's time for said appointment they reschedule it because we'll they just can't even bother to make sure they got their supplied in. It's not like there's no time like the present to stop a problem from becoming worse. Not like peoples health issues are important let alone their sanity..

Thank you so very much to the nurses on the 6th floor! Especially Kaitlin, the CNA. They all were so kind and caring for my mother while she was in care after surgery. Showed absolutely professionalism, patience and compassion ❤️ Thank you for all that you do ??

The way these people treat the elderly, pregnant, and immunocompromised is so inhuman and demeaning that it feels like you have willingly checked yourself into a prison rather than a place to get help. And they gaslight you the whole time.

I've never met people quite like the people who work here. The level of hatred for humans and life is unbelievable. Could only be compared to Auschwitz.

I spent 5 days, 2days of the stay in ICU , in full septic shock. Survivability for sepsis patients is roughly 50%.At 70 yo, my chances at best were 50/50.The staff and Dr's at N.L. Eastern were great. The nurses and Dr's did everything possible to save my life. The only complaint is the food was terrible but you need to be in life to eat. Who cares about food when you get to see another day!Thank you all at N.L. Eastern Hospital and specially the ICU staff.

This hospital needs a serious investigation into the care provided to patients. There is currently a male patient who has been there for over a week with a serious illness that no one seems to be able to determine what it is except that they think "it's something that stuck with him when he had a very similar illness over 20 years ago." His wife was sent home, over an hour away, to get his records from that illness. Do your job, EMMC. He suffered a blistery rash from a med he was given and one night was given ice packs to lay on, in which one broke open, he notified staff, but they never showed up to change it and he slept in it all night. One morning, before his wife arrived, he was given a bagel, one bagel, for breakfast. His wife asked about it, and was refused another breakfast so she was forced to get a decent meal for him at the cafeteria. She has been threatened to be kicked out because she is trying to advocate for her husband. You have no answers for his condition and so he is not getting proper treatment, but you want to send him home. Are you sure? That may result in some serious consequences.

Sonya from ccu is the most amazing nurse, taking excellent care of my sister. I'll never forget her kindness!

Visited ER due to possible stroke symptoms. I'd anticipated somewhat of a wait although it was overly compensated by all the kindness and professionalism exhibited. From the lady who patrols parking garage, intake staff, phlebotomist, x-ray techs and most importantly my provider who oversaw it all my sincerest thanks. I felt I was in very competent hands that'd greatly reduced my health concerns.

I just arrived in town and need medical care. I called for a new primary care physician and was offered an appointment in Sept 2024. It's currently Dec 2023 10 months wait for medical care. Your only choice for medical care in Bangor Maine is a 6-10 hour wait in the emergency room.

They never sent me any methods of registering for my gynecology appointment, they didn't tell me I had to arrive 15min prior, and then wouldn't let me see the gynecologist despite arriving on time as per the scheduled appointment. When I told them that they didn't send me any info about that or a way to register my appointment, they ignores me numerous times while being short for blaming me for them not sending me the requisite information. And to top it all off, they mispronounced my name several times after me saying it while ignoring the fact that they never sent anything. Do not see them, the doctors are fine but their administrative staff and policies are awful.

Ever since Northern light took over EMMC they don't do their jobs. I don't even like their Dr. Offices. I left one because they were difficult to get ahold of and they kept misdiagnosing me. Found out had a full rotator cuff tear they were telling me I pulled a tendon. Wouldent even bother doing an mri. They are awful

This hospital is really bad, let me get into the details. We drove here to drop my mom off for an appointment to get her blood tested. What seemed to be a really quick appointment turned into a two whole hour wait in the van for mom to come back. Unbelievable. On top of that, the staff seemed to be really incompetent, and slow as well. One star for the hospital. Will be taking my family's business to St. Joseph's Hospital on Broadway from now on.
