Visted on 4/6/24. This mall is just like what's happened to most malls in this country since well past the mall boom. The mall looks to be able to hold approx. 40 stores with 4 being anchor spaces. 2/3 empty, no restaurants.

Not worth visiting.Completely empty and lifeless, even on a Saturday afternoon. No music playing, very dim lights, and lack of people attribute to the slow atmosphere. Half the stores are closed, and I did not see any food or drinks available.

Updating this review because I've heard twice now that the staff of this mall keeps kicking out my grandmother and her boyfriend. They don't do much other than walk the mall (like most people do for exercise) and rest from time to time in the lounge chairs. I can't imagine how they're treating other people, this is ridiculous. You hardly have any customers to begin with, why the hell would you kick out the only ones you have?? No wonder people don't shop here anymore! This used to be a nice place to hang out and people watch.

To see the mall culture fade away is way sad. If you want to see the Bangor Mall, you should do so quickly, as the days are probably numbered. There are still a few cool shops in there, though, and you can still see an art exposition that was created by local youths. Revitalizing would be nearly impossible, and this place is being eyed for demolition. There just isn't the local interest. So stop in while you can and visit the photo booth, maybe play an arcade game from the 1980's or get a new outfit because soon enough all you will see is government funded housing.

Place use to be a great hangout spot. But new owner after new owner keeps saying they have the money to remodel or tear down and reconstruct a new Mall and updated mall. But never happens that way. That mall was booming when I was a kid. Now barely any stores, water and sewer lines have not been replaced under the mall that's why there is no more food court. I know an architect that knows this mall and they even said that inorder for restaurants to be able to go back into this mall. All the old water and sewage lines need to be replaced. I also know a Code Enforcement officer who says same thing and even myself as a firefighter of 13 years now knows that this place does not meet certain codes. It's shameful it really is. A great mall in our area going down the drain. I have these sayings "Don't make a promise you can't keep" and "Don't buy it if you don't have the finances to do what needs to be done".
