Anne's White Columns Inn is a lovely, super cute, and interesting family-run inn offering a world class experience with local touches and hospitality. Its location is unbeatable, a short and easy walk to the main streets and shopping area of downtown Bar Harbor, close to everything, which saves money on parking. The meticulously landscaped property with a beautiful garden and varieties of flowers invites guests to relax. The staff and employees are fantastic, friendly, kind, and helpful, making guests feel at home and part of their family, with flawless, welcoming, and personable service. Breakfast is made from scratch and with love, served extremely fast. It is very good, fantastic, and a full breakfast complete with protein, with yummy pastries, though some guests felt it was just okay and noted there is only one option each day. A happy hour is also offered. Coffee and tea are always available via a Keurig, and guests enjoy sitting on the front porch. Rooms are small but comfortable, cute, and sufficient, with private bathrooms, great water pressure, and individual air conditioning units. Some rooms lack a thermostat, a mini fridge, or a community fridge, and some have a tiny single towel rack, worn furniture, no hair conditioner, and limited outlets near the bed. Water temperature can fluctuate. However, the inn meets the biggest criteria of cleanliness and safety perfectly, with everything clean and functional. The beds are ultra comfortable. Despite proximity to other rooms, noise levels are very low. Overall, it is a tremendous, unforgettable stay that feels very "homey" rather than like a hotel, and many guests would definitely stay here again.

Interesting place that is a short walk to downtown Bar Harbor. Nice breakfast and happy hour. Great employees. A bit pricey and our room has no thermostat, a tiny single towel rack, pretty cold. Get a room with a thermostat if booking here..
