I absolutely HATE this bank. They never answer their phones in town or at the call center. I’ve had nothing but trouble here while being home or over seas. DO NOT do business with them.

I just only need to change my mobile number o my account and it seems like all the teller and stuff there doesn’t know what they are doing. Imagine changing your mobile number will take 2 weeks. This is the only bank that do that so ridiculous.And the worst part is when you ask them why. They always answer with “i think” its like they are not sure what they are doing. Its been a week calling them everyday whats the update and they still dont know the answer what a great bank.

We have been a Small Commercial customer since 2002, most of the time we have had a positive experience. If they were unable to have the answer right away, they would research and call you in day or so.I am glad they now have a branch closer to home.

By Far, the Absolute WORST, Unacceptable corporate mis-management, Putrid lack of even Training, Problem Solving, & Customer Care/Satisfaction I have Literally ever seen in a banking institution; DO NOT bring your daily banking to ANY branch of the utterly disgraceful group of hacks that even have the audacity to attempt to call themselves professionals; the level of Ignorance, Laziness, & Complete Failure of Communication Clearly starts from the top down and has been Prevalent for quite a long time; the Only Single stand out representative of this entire organization thus far has been Kayla at Andover NH branch that has gone out of her way Daily to keep me apprised w/ updates and has gone above & beyond to correct the Numerous, Massive errors that fall Directly on the Incompetents at the corporate office level; Still waiting to hear back from the district manager for about a week now who is still away enjoying his vacation; next calls/grievances and reports going to the BBB, National Consumer Affairs agency and the U.S. SEC; this is institutions failed protocols and ill-advised and outdated practices are embarrassingly still executed on the daily leaving their loyal customers consistently stranded w/ Total inconvenience consistently ruining their vacations, etc. time and time again, Shame on their shareholders, executive board members, IT Dept., programmers, etc. for ALL resting on their laurels and failing to measure up to their own basic levels of personal accountability & responsibility while punching out at the end of their days, going home to enjoy their cushy comfortable lives while continuing to turn a blind eye to their plagued, continuous banking problems.

Inordinate overdraft fees. Inquiry resulted in them closing my account after being there 17 years. Not a hometown bank in Maine anymore. If manager on vacation, cannot function in Rockland.

Probably the worst bank I've encountered so far. Their online app is total garbage, sometimes not working for days due to some kind of issue with servers, a direct deposit from the app takes 3 (!!) business days. The staff in Ellsworth branch seem very disorganized (the bank was empty and it took them over an hour to make me a debit card!). They forgot to mail the second card, forgot to let my husband set his pin. Seems like someone is leeching off the fact that there aren't that many banks in the area and people just don't have any other choice.The nonsense with the app is definitely my favorite - can't check my balance for several hours today.Not recommending this bank to anyone, actively looking for a new one to switch to.

Back in 2014 when I 1st started coming here this bank was pretty decent I actually really liked it. Year by year this place became less and less appealing. The staff continually getting worse and less friendly by the year. I have no desire to keep my money here anymore. What bank closes at 4 most weekdays and isn't open on weekends? How are normal hardworking people supposed to do business here if they can't even get in the door? This place is even worse in the winter with their hours. On top of that my wife pulled her check out of the bank the other day and the teller asked her what she was buying with all that money... I've also had numerous other issues over the years I won't go through. First national bank on the other hand is outstanding, never had issues, Love their hours, policies and app.

Friendly staff. Opened a checking account, they printed debit cards and starter checks right then. Didn't have to wait for mail or anything ?

This is absolutely the worst bank in the state of Maine. Do not open account or get a loan. Loans are the biggest rip off in the state. Their policies are the biggest pain compared to other banks also!!!!!!
