My husband, son & daughter & their spouses spent 4 glorious days with Dax & Sarah at their oh so beautiful establishment. So fun! Their attention to detail blew my mind. You only need to look at pictures on the website & FB to know how simply beautiful it is. I hope I get to return to Bar Harbor in the future to visit this fun & friendly couple. Thank you Dax & Sarah for precious memories!

My husband and I spent Labor Day weekend at the inn and absolutely loved our stay! Dax and Sarah were such welcoming and thoughtful hosts, their attention to detail truly made our visit special. The location is perfect: just a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
We especially enjoyed the daily happy hours and the delicious homemade treats — the perfect way to relax after a day of hiking in Acadia. Breakfasts were lovely and flavorful, and the entire property is simply beautiful.
We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

Loved the entire place! If you’re looking to experience coastal beauty and peace all in one place, this is the place to stay! The owners left no detail untouched. The inn is decorated in the prettiest coastal Maine decor you can envision . The breakfast and afternoon teas are delicious! The property is on a cliff overlooking the bay. The gardens are stunning. Oh and the hosts, genuine and kind. The Inn just went to the top of my list on favorite place to stay! We will be back!!

This is our second time staying here, the last was in 2021. Owners changed since then but the charm has not! Very relaxing place with a billion dollar view (millions wouldn’t do it justice). Truly a hidden gem on Frenchman Bay. Set the stage for our enjoyable Acadian adventure.

Such a wonderful stay! Was only for one night; however, it was the best night's sleep we've had at an Inn or hotel. Our room was small, yet perfect. The balcony and view from it was perfect. Dax and Sarah are delightful and make you feel welcomed without being intrusive. The snacks, wine, coffee, and breakfast was lovely! The location is convenient to Bar Harbor Village, and not far from when you enter the island. We'll definitely stay again and hope next time to stay at one of the cabins on the property.

The Inn at Bay Ledge was the perfect place to stay in Bar Harbor! Only a few miles from Acadia National Park, we were able to spend the day hiking, biking and enjoying Acadia without having to spend a lot of time driving to our daily destination. We were close enough to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor village, yet far enough to enjoy the solitude and fabulous views of Frenchman's Bay. Dax and Sarah were perfect hosts and so accommodating. The breakfast each morning was outstanding and provided plenty of fuel for our busy days in Acadia. They were able to provide suggestions for activities and dining in the area as well. The Inn is beautifully decorated and so clean. We plan to return again on our next trip to Bar Harbor!

Imagine waking up to private views, adorable seals, secluded beaches, stunning sunrises, and the best breakfast of your life - that’s exactly what we got here. Dax and Sarah were incredible hosts - so friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. We stayed in the summer cottage, which was comfy, cozy, and stocked with everything we needed. It was the perfect balance of being tucked away from the hustle of Bar Harbor while still just a short drive to town and Acadia for adventures. We are very blessed to have been able to stay here. Highly recommend!

The Inn at Bay Ledge was the perfect base for exploring Acadia National Park – peaceful, scenic, and tucked away from the Bar Harbor crowds. We were fortunate to come across it after finding so much booked in Bar Harbor during the busy summer season.
The breakfasts are what B&B dreams are made of. Everything was homemade, delicious, and filling enough to fuel our days in the park. (Seriously, every time we entered the front door there were incredible new smells coming from the kitchen!)
We stayed in the second building across the street, but still enjoyed access to the main inn with beautiful seating and views overlooking the beach. Our room was cozy and clean, everything was well-maintained and clearly built from a labor of love. Dax and Sarah were fantastic hosts, always available, and quickly resolved a drain issue we had during our stay.
We’ll definitely be recommending this spot to any friends traveling this way. If you’re looking for a peaceful alternative to staying in Bar Harbor with the best homemade breakfasts, this is your place!

We just spent four nights at the Inn at Bay Ledge, and we absolutely loved it! We stayed in a private cottage, and our view was spectacular! The decor was charming, and our bed was super comfy! Dax and Sarah were very kind, and breakfast was homemade and really good. We also enjoyed the daily 4pm treats! Our favorite was the chocolate sheet cake. It was great to know that Dax and Sarah were on the property at all times, and they were just a phone call away if we needed anything. The location is great for exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It is less than a mile off the main road. You get both serenity and proximity. We would highly recommend staying here! We look forward to our next visit!

I'm actually hesitant to tell you all how fantastic our stay was because there's a part of me that wants to keep The Inn at Bay Ledge a secret. The room was lovely, the breakfasts divine, and our hosts Sarah and Dax were so accommodating and attentive. And then there's the setting. Phenomenal. We'll never forget watching the sun rise and the harbor seals play. I can't wait to book another stay next year.

It's been a week since we checked into the Inn at Bay Ledge for our two night stay and I have been longing to return ever since. What a wonderful experience we had thanks to Sarah and Dax and Assistant Innkeeper, Levi. Despite having a full house that weekend, it was so peaceful. Such a comfy bed with the best pillows (which is a rare find) and although the room was small, it was perfect for the two of us. The gardens were stunning and the cliffside views over the water, amazing. We strolled the private beach and reveled in the beauty of this lovely retreat. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better we were treated to the most scrumptious breakfasts! Wow! The only downside about Inn at Bay Ledge was having to leave. Thank you Dax and Sarah for making our anniversary weekend a memory to cherish!

This place is just PERFECT.
This inn has a beautiful gardens filled with various flowers. Inside and outside, there are lots of places to take a rest (sofas and chairs, and even hot tubs everywhere) Its like, you can sit anywhere you want and take a rest.
The location is perfect. You can reach the beautiful beach by foot. You can see the seals, birds(seabirds, chickadee, and hummingbird in the garden), and even porpoise (kind of dorphins) in the sea at front of the inn. Good restaurants are nearby. The acadia national parks and bar harbor is nearby, too.
This inn is very clean and neat, calm to stay. The place is really quiet so its good to take a rest. While we are staying, we feel like really welcoming. Thanks for the hosts!!! While they help you everytime at everywhere, they also keep your privacy.
The free breakfast is amazing! (Every bites are really really tasty. It was the best breakfast that I have every had.) In the afternoon, we can enjoy free tea (or beer/wine) with and amazing homemade cookies or cakes.
We really enjoyed the stay. Really thanks to Dax and Sarah! We will definitely back again !!

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn At Bay Ledge. It was very peaceful and quiet. The view of the bay was amazing. The Inn is beautifully decorated with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We stayed in one of the cottages at Sunset Pine, just steps away from the main building. Our room in the woods was very quiet, comfortable and spacious. The location of the Inn is also great since it's in a secluded area but still only minutes away from the Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.
The owners Dax and Sarah were very friendly and accommodating. They served delicious breakfasts and homemade treats in the afternoons. We highly recommend their inn for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting! We will definitely be back at the Inn At Bay Ledge.

The most amazing location overlooking a magnificent view second to none. Great access to the beach with a lovely coast you can walk in low tide. The Inn itself is in immaculate condition. Dax and Sarah and Stanley are wonderful hosts and fabulous cooks too! Beds are very comfortable, towels are plush, plenty of parking and close to amazing restaurants and of course, Acadia National Park.
