Staff would rather let a senior citizen pee themselves in public than let them use their restroom. Shameful.

If I could give it a 0 stars I would. My Dr. faxed them a prescription for paxlovid after I tested positive for Covid while traveling. The pharmacy repeatedly gave messages saying they were working on the prescription and that it could be picked up after 6:30, although the pharmacy closed at 6. I finally rang through to the pharmacy and the guy who answered said, "Oh yeah, we don't have any paxlovid. You'll have to go somewhere else." This was after I wasted a whole day of treatment waiting on them to fill the script. Since we were leaving the following morning I had to call my Dr again and have a script sent to the Walmart Supercenter at our next destination. Those folks were great, and a day later I was able to start my treatment. This Walgreens only confirmed my steadily falling opinion of the entire chain. I will not be using any Walgreens in the future.

How can this place even call itself a pharmacy? I would rate it less than 1 star. People could die due to their inability to help anyone since they are closed all of the time. I am from out-of-state and I forgot my medication and ask my doctor to call it in to Walgreens in Bar Harbor. He called it in on Friday and the pharmacy closed on Friday night by 6 p.m. and didn't open again until Monday. What a useless store, close it down! I have never heard of such %/@#! Useless! I will be reaching out to Walgreens Corporate headquarters. Unacceptable.

Crazy tourists rate this place 1 star because they expect to be given preferential service without waiting in line, and don't look up the pharmacy hours ahead of time. In reality the staff is dedicated to delivering peoples medications in an acceptable time frame and protecting patient confidentiality despite the mindless throng of out-of-state flatlanders interrupting their conversations and demanding nonsense. 10/5 stars couldn't be happier with a pharmacy.

I guess it's against the secret rules of this store to ask 1) if a product is in stock 2) where it's located in the store. I'm not sure what the hostility is about, but calling ahead to ask if a product is in stock should be met with just a little bit more than "I don't know" and hanging up on the customer. But if that's working for y'all, congrats! Garbage.

We were looking for a specific office supply we needed, but this store didn't carry it. However, the salesperson, Heather, went above and beyond helping us to find a makeshift alternative.

Stay away from this store. I was visiting Bar Harbor, MA and was exposed to COVID. It was a Sunday and there was no pharmacist on duty. The COVID tests were in the front of the store, next to the cashier. A hand made sign above the tests said the tests were covered by insurance company if you submitted the form. I bought 4 tests costing me close to 75 dollars. I called Medicare, the largest single health insurer, they said I would have to go to Walgreens. I went to my local Walgreens in RI. They would not a accept the receipt from the Bar Harbor Walgreens and file the claim. I then called the Walgreens in Bar Harbor and asked to speak to the pharmacist. The person I first spoke with on 8/17/2022 at approx. 530 pm said he was the pharmacist. He also said I would have had to purchase the COVID test through the pharmacy. I called back at around the same time to ask for more details because something did not seem right and asked to speak to the pharmacist. This person also said he was the pharmacist. I told him that the first person lied as he was not a pharmacist. This second person, named Nate, who also claimed he was the pharmacist, refused to tell me who I spoke with because there were FOUR other pharmacy techs there on a Wednesday night at 530 pm. While on the phone with Nat, I heard another person asking Nat if I was recording the conversation. It would seem logical that was the first person I spoke with who told me he a pharmacist. So, it appears Nat is also not truthful Nat told me that the home-made sign above the COVID Tests right next that the tests said the COVID tests were covered by MOST insurance companies. I said that was not true and even if it was Medicare is the largest health care provider in the US. The sign was misleading. You trust your pharmacist to tell you the truth. I would never trust this pharmacist and the staff there after what happened to me. I am also contact the Better Business Bureau and any other Consumer Division in Maine to prevent this happening to others

On vaca, started menstruating/bleeding unexpectedly and stopped here to get pads, asked if I could please use the restroom to put one on, she told me flat out no. I cannot get past the fact a woman told another woman that she couldn't even put on a pad. I did not have transportation, I was on foot, luckily the wonderful restaurant near by was overly understanding and allowed me to use their restroom. If I could give no stars I would.

Extremely rude cashier. We asked if she could give us some fives and ones instead of a twenty. She refused without a reason then when I asked for a reason she blamed it on coin shortage. We were not asking for coins! She was very cold and rude to us..maybe had something to do with us being minorities.

My sister had an asthma attack and they wouldn't give her an emergency inhaler even though she was LITERALLY ABOUT TO DIE. They wouldn't even tell us where the urgent care was!! Hell, they wouldn't even tell us where epinephrine was!

This pharmacy in particular is magnificent. The staff I deal with on a weekly basis are always so courteous, helpful and informative. ??
