My wife and I arrived on December 30, expecting to leave on New Year's day. Google Maps took us from Cape Cod straight to the door. The inn is a short walk from Main Street with its shops and attractions, most of which were closed this time of year. Our room was on the second floor, and the innkeeper (Jen?) was gracious enough to help us with our bags. In going over the literature Jen sent us before we left, I discovered that THIS B&B DOES NOT SERVE BREAKFAST between November and March. Jen explained that it was hard to find help this time of year. I didn't ask how the other B&Bs were doing. Our room, named Silver Maple, was clean and had a comfortable queen-size bed. The bathroom was clean and small, but functional. Would we go back? Maybe, knowing what we know now and not having too high expectations.

Stayed here during our vacation for a few nights. This is a very well located inn off of a quiet side street. Very easy to walk to all of the restaurants and shopping. The Inn itself is beautifully maintained and very clean. There were many nice unexpected features in the room such as an air cleaner along with soaps and lotions. The innkeeper, Jen, is a wonderful cook. Her breakfasts change daily and they were always delicious! Book here for a quiet centrally located stay.

Great place. Jen obviously cares about her business, her food and her guests. Was very glad we booked this place and would most definitely do it again if we get back this way! If it’s available, reserve it. You won’t be disappointed.

Our stay at Maples Inn was fantastic! Our room was comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the library and puzzle, and the breakfast was some of the best food we’ve ever had! The location was just a couple blocks from downtown Bar Harbor and a 7-25 minute drive to Acadia trails depending what you want to see. We can't wait to come back!

Jen was a great host! She is clearly in her element with this B&B. Personable, funny, and attentive to everyone's needs, and the food was delicious! And she has two of the friendliest dogs in Maine! Experiences like this are the reason we love the B&B experience so much.

My husband Frank and I are innkeepers from New Hampshire.... Jen was a wonderful hostess! This place is adorable, clean, and on point knowing what their guests want and need! The breakfast was amazing the bed was extremely comfortable, and the Inn extremely clean and well appointed! This was my first time on the east coast and I had such a pleasant time in Bar Harbor! The Maples Inn made my solo cross country trip feel so comfortable, and I am so happy I chose to stay there! I usually stay in hotels but wanted to give the bed and breakfast a try, and it was such a good decision.I stayed in the Red Oak room and it was tidy and cozy. It has its own porch. Very tiny bathroom/shower but that is understandable as it is an original old home converted into bed and breakfast. Lots of beverages and snacks downstairs for guests as well as umbrellas, sunscreen, etc to make your visit more comfortable. The host Jen was so sweet and made an incredible breakfast each morning. The food exceeded my expectation's! You get to choose out of 4 options the night prior. Cute dining room area. Also, super walkable to the shops/restaurants and the harbor. I walked each day!

Maples Inn is a lovely house under new ownership this year. I stayed in the Sea Rose room which was as described. The bathroom for this room was across the hall as expected. There was no exterior lock and I felt a bit strange leaving my things in there with no way to lock it. The shower was tiny but manageable.Housekeeping was not daily "due to Covid" though everyone dined in the breakfast room together. I'm high risk so I dined on the porch. Even though I came down first since I was eager to get to Acadia NP, being on the porch meant I was served last. Breakfast was at 8:30 and generally wasn't finished until 9:30. It wasn't exactly as described on the website (eggs as you wish and breakfast meats were not offered) but I personally liked some of the healthier options the innkeeper offered like avocado toast and she was kind enough to accommodate my gluten free diet. But breakfast at the Inn was a little too late for visitors to Acadia as the parking lots were full by 8:00 or 8:30. One morning I requested a grab and go bagel and was able to get to the park earlier. I would have loved to been offered that option up front as my first day in Acadia I arrived too late to find parking without a lot of effort. The Innkeeper communicates that she is available until 5PM but will respond to emergencies after that. Perfectly reasonable on the surface. Of course I never returned to the Inn until after 5PM. I requested a TV one night right after I got back at 6PM and didn't hear back that evening (fine, it's not an emergency) or the next day. The next afternoon I asked again and one was delivered to me.It was a good stay, but I think some of the practices could use some tweaking.

We were so excited about this stop on our honeymoon, but we were kind of puzzled at all the 5 star reviews. It looks like the inn changed hands recently so that may explain it. No welcome at check-in (keys left waiting) so no help available when the parking situation was dicey. No local recommendations. Breakfast was fine... the room was nice but bathroom was tiny. Just overall fine but for the price we expected better.

If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay while visiting Bar Harbor, look no further. We had the best stay at The Maples Inn. The rooms are so comfortable and there were so many nice touches, it made you feel like home! It's also in a wonderful location making it easy to get to the main streets and Acadia National Park. Hosts are amazing and responsive as well!

The location of this B&B was great, it was well within walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor. The accommodations were really nice, the bed was super comfy and we were provided with lots of recommendations for sight seeing and restaurants around the area! The hosts were very kind as well! These are all wonderful reasons to stay at The Maples but honestly, we would recommend staying here for the breakfast, alone! The food here was the best breakfast that my husband and I have ever had! We can’t wait to stay here again on our next trip to Bar Harbor!

This was such a quaint little place located only a couple blocks from the main strip of Bar Harbor. Jen and Josh were wonderful hosts and our breakfast was delicious every morning. There was one morning where the water went out and our hosts reacted quickly to get the issue resolved. We stayed in the Sea Rose suite which is one of the smaller rooms with the detached private bath. If you don't mind have a bathroom down the hall, it is a great way to save ~$100 a night if you're on a budget. The bathroom is private so no other guests will use it so don't let that deter you! We will for sure stay here again.

This was an amazing find!!! I had never been to Maine, but was attending my friends wedding. I happened upon The Maples Inn when looking for somewhere to stay. I could not be happier to have stayed at this adorable Inn! The location was perfect, just a short walk into town and everything you needed was right there. A short drive to Acadia and the park has so much to see and explore. The Inn is not only adorable with great rooms, but tastefully decorated and so clean! Also, very quiet, we had the most restful nights sleep in forever and yet the Inn was quite full of guests. Lets talk about our morning coffee on the front porch then to the dinning room where Jen made the most amazing breakfast every morning!!!! My husband & I hope to visit again soon:)
