This is a nice store and the staff is friendly. I hate to say anything negative about a small business, but there is an alarming amount of books that would be considered propaganda or left wing extremism. Think books about defunding the police and telling kids they can change their gender at any age. Theres also plenty of books from liberals but nothing with opposing viewpoints like Candace Owen's new book for example. I'm an Independent and I was taken aback by how ridiculously one sided it was. Its a nice place to go but I would only go there if you need some new fiction or some political propaganda.

This bookstore was so cute and a perfect stop for day 1 of our week long Maine trip. They had a good selection of books for all ages. Everyone in our very eclectic bunch found a book (or two) to enjoy on our vacation. Highly recommend if you're looking for a beachy read, for something a bit more serious and for books for your little ones.

Beautiful, neighborhood bookstore with very helpful and friendly staff. My wife is a pre-school teacher and really admired the children books' variety with a reading section for group events. It was our first stop on a charming street of shops.

I was shopping for my daughter’s birthday in Bath and walked in this nice looking bookshop. Immediately I am confronted with the prominently displayed “Banned Books” table, which is obviously directed at children and obviously pushing political propaganda preferred by the owner. Why is it the job of a bookstore to politically indoctrinate children (hint as to the answer: it isn’t)? Parents can curate books for their children as they see fit. Don’t patronize this store! I’ll never set foot inside it again and will encourage people in my network to avoid it.

Such a sweet bookshop. Excellent selection, thoughtful and aesthetically-pleasing displays (let's be honest who doesn't judge a book by the cover sometimes ;) and they do a great job of showcasing books!), helpful staff. And I love that they host author talks! Such a great store in downtown Bath!

Small bookstores need well curated selections, and Mockingbird does a good job. I loved the staff picks table. The interior decor is nice, with little seating areas and well set-up book displays.

As someone who is bookstore-obsessed, this is easily the best bookstore I have ever visited! It is small but thoughtfully curated. Thank you for honoring diversity and inclusion among your selections!

Mockingbird is my FAVORITE bookstore and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet!! In honor of Independent Bookstore on Saturday, I wanted to make sure that I did :) The staff of Mockingbird Bookshop is so friendly, the atmosphere inviting and it is located in the adorable city of Bath. Terri the owner is so kind and so great about ordering whatever my family needs. The shop has a wonderful selection of books for adults and kids, puzzles and the most amazing greeting cards! I never leave empty handed and I am so grateful to have such a beautiful shop so close to my house.

Lovely community bookstore. Many author events and great about ordering books. Love love love that they are calling out books on the shelves that have been ‘banned’. First time I’ve seen that and I am delighted.

I have to be careful in bookstores bc I’m actually unable to say no to buying books. But when I walked by this bookstore I knew I was going to enjoy it, and I knew I was going to get at least one book. The store is so well thought out with utilizing their space so the genre you are looking for is easy to find. The window displays are the cutest. AND they feature artwork from local artists! Win, win, win! Plus, the employees are incredibly kind. Can’t wait to go back!
