John and Jeanette are wonderful hosts! During your stay here you are treated like family. Jeanette makes fantastic breakfasts and desserts from scratch. John is polite, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is pleasant. The location is perfect and central to anything you might need (grocery store, post office, restaurants, etc). I can’t wait to visit in the future!Rooms: The rooms are all unique and beautifully decorated. They are cozy, comfortable, and spacious.Walkability: Holidae House is centrally located on the main street and is walking distance to anything you may need during your stay.Food & drinks: The homemade breakfasts, freshly ground coffee, and delicious desserts are amazing! Jeanette does an excellent job and everything is made from scratch. After a long day of skiing, you are welcomed by fresh treats (daily) and coffee or tea when you get back in the afternoon.

Great place to stay right downtown. There are a couple nice restaurants nearby. All the locals were very friendly. The owners of the facility were lovely couple who are committed to providing us with a great time.Walkability: The facility is right downtown next to a lot of stores and there is a gem and mineral museum that is a real fun time. If you go to the museum go to the asteroid section and you can see all kinds of rocks from different planets.

We feel so lucky to have been able to stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast! We arrived without reservation and we're lucky to have a beautifully appointed queen-sized bed in a lovely upstairs room with a brand new bathroom to ourselves! Our host was so gracious and made sure that we understood everything about the house. The neighborhood and the town, including great recommendations on where to eat. The breakfast was extraordinary. We had Dutch babies and really good coffee and perfect bacon! They did ask our dietary restrictions or preferences the evening before so those items would have been modified to our needs if we needed it. Our host was an incredible storyteller and really worth the visit just to spend some time listening to him talk about the house! We hope to go back sometime.

John and Jeanette are wonderful hosts with a wealth of knowledge about the area and such a welcoming energy for all guests! My friends and I were thru-hiking the AT and took refuge here from some bad weather. The breakfast was wonderful and it was the perfect spot to stay cozy and enjoy Bethel. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

I am so excited to come back to HH for the third time ! My great Aunt Bea and Uncle Cecil were the original owners of the house and it makes me so happy that John and Jeanette kept the soul of the house intact! I know that my family would be thrilled with the care John and Jeanette give the house! I very much wish they could have met John and Jeanette. I know they would have been so impressed. ❤️

Our stay of 7 days was appreciated by the fine treatment that the hosts, John and Jeanette provided. The accomodations were wonderful as each day began with a great breakfast, highlighted by fresh fruit and fresh ground coffee. Their concern for your satisfaction was present for the entire stay. We made reservations for next year before leaving. Would rate 10 stars if I could.

Do you like the quiet, rural, picturesque that is Maine but also want southern hospitality when you're away on vacation? Then this is your place y'all! John and Jeannette are the most delightful, sweet, sincere, friendly and down to earth people we have ever met.My husband and I were in town for a wedding over Memorial day weekend and we stayed at the B&B. It was a wonderful time and experience. John and Jeanette (and their SUPER adorable dogs) greeted us when we pulled up in the back. John showed us around the B&B and our room. He was very thorough when it came to explaining how things worked around the place. He (and Jeanette) gave us suggestions as to what was to do around the area and where to eat. Their suggestions did not disappoint, especially with the Maine Gem and Mineral Museum (we're kinda nerdy and like that stuff). The room and the B&B were extremely clean and truly felt like home and we treated it as such. I know some people may feel awkward spending time outside their room but that wasn't the case with us. It truly was home away from home. The breakfasts that were served were DELISH! They are very conscience of any dietary needs/restrictions that you may have and make it a point to not only ask but Jeanette also has meals that she can/has made that do work around that. P.S. her pancakes are home made and SO GOOD! The food is fresh and local and the coffee is legit ground every morning. We didn't want for anything while we were there and they are legit a phone call away day or night.Being there felt like we were with family. It may sound odd to say that but being in a town that we have never been to before and being 4.5 hours away from home, it was a comfort. My husband and I look forward to going back soon.Thank you John and Jeannette (Kenzie and Hagrid) for such a wonderful time and great experience.

Cannot recommend the HH highly enough. The house and its innkeepers are steeped in charm. Vintage ambience with 21st century comforts. Such a warmth of welcome. Every attention is paid to ensuring you have a delightful stay. Breakfast is DIVINE!Perfectly situated in the heart of Main Street, shops and restaurants, and the Maine Mineral and Gem Museum.
