“Overall an unexpected surprise. I booked this through hotels.com as a last minute Sunday River skiing reservation. It exceeded my expectations. It's old world done well with wide hallways, authentic historical decor, and actual keys for rooms. The room was in good condition, which today means everything worked, including the all important outlets. The motif was...nice, not the mass-produced stuff in chain hotels. It's saying something these days when the upholstery doesn't have wear spots on the corners. The only ding is there was no microwave or refrigerator for reheating your takeout or coffee or keeping drinks cold. But hey, the tub was a jacuzzi that actually worked! At the downstairs tavern the food was served hot and with excellent service. The menu was, well, tavern food. On the grounds there is a XC ski track/trails with rentals and lessons, if that's your thing. Overall, I was delightfully surprised and plan on making it my hotel of choice for future ski vacations. P.S. it's about 10-15 mins from the ski resort.”
“Very clean, great price and location. We just stayed there with 9 of our friends. After riding almost 300 miles a day on motorcycles- it was a great place to relax and be able to walk to dinner. Bonus - adorable Abby the pup;”
