I recently had an amazing dining experience at The Elizabeth! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the friendly staff. The food was outstanding – I couldn't get enough of the Elote and Chile Rellenos, and my husband loved the Ceviche and Mussels Special. Plus, the wine selection was spot-on, perfectly complementing our meal. What really stood out was the attentive service; the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. The Elizabeth deserves every bit of praise it receives and is a must-visit spot for anyone in Bethel looking for delicious food, great wine, and top-notch service. We can't wait to return.

This was our second visit in as many weeks. The Elizabeth is wonderful. Outstanding, professional, warm service with great guidance on my several questions. Great cocktail options, and exceptional wine list, ranging from very good bottles under $50 to magnums from around the world. The food is excellent: latin influence, just a little edgy but not over the top. Highly recommended!

Outstanding on all counts. Had many faves that I rarely see on menus ( Bee's Knees cocktail, chicken liver mousse), main dishes perfect, nice wine list as well as by the glass. Exceptional service by well trained and friendly staff. Will definitely return...soon!

What a lovely and perfect end to a beautiful day of skiing! I highly recommend this restaurant! The food was both an interesting and delicious fusion of flavors. The atmosphere of an turn of the century house was cozy and comfortable. The service stellar. Do not leave without dessert--the churros sundae was so delicious--we nearly ordered seconds!

Wonderful dinner with friends for our first time here. Made an early rez for 6:00 and was a little concerned as there was no one else there. The dining room was filled within the hour. Everything made in house, fresh and inventive without being pretentious. Server was very attentive. Delicious cocktails and antipasto. Our meals - Lamb shank, salmon, hangar steak (with shrimp for surf & turf) were hot and flavorful. We were too full for dessert! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful old Victorian house. Waiter was very attentive. Food was very good. My only improvement would be the variety on the menu. We had lamb shank which was excellent but most of the other entrees were standard continental cuisine. Perhaps on Friday or Saturday night they offer some specials. Would definitely go again.

We weren't guests of the Inn, but my family has come for their weekend brunch. We were very well cared for and I'm just so grateful to have a brunch option in our little town. My 4 year old absolutely loved her French toast ?

Overall excellent... Had the Rack of Lamb which was excellent. Also excellent at my table were the filet and the 1/2 chicken. All served with some delicious sauces and wonderful fingerling potatoes. Would love to see more fresh veggies with the meals. Also got a Maine lobster tail which was disappointing because it was so small. We shared three desserts which were also all excellent and fresh. Service was good. Came on a quiet uncrowded evening.

We had the New Year's Eve meal there. All the courses especially the Arabic I, scallop ceviche maple bourbon squash soup and halibut. The deserts were flavourful and not overly sweet. The service was very attentive.

The Inn had an outstanding chef a year ago who produced European cuisine. The new chef produces rather plain fare with a Latin American aspect. The main courses are all pan fried beef, chicken or fish with no sauce, and they ran out of two of the three fish dishes. That's fine if you like plain food. Another diner told us he had his best ever ribeye steak. My swordfish was overcooked but despite that did not have a brown surface. Friendly and efficient service. Nice and quiet, even though full, for the four of us to talk. Try it if you are in the Bethel area but not worth the 30 minute drive we had.

The Elizabeth is a wonderful place to dine! Overall we had a great experience with a small hiccup. We ordered an early starter with our sparkling white wine to celebrate a birthday but our server didn't place it and waited until she was able to return to take our full order. There was also a delay in the bread basket. We feel higher level cutlery (heavier, nicer quality) would elevate the meals to match the elegance of your lovely restaurant. Thank you.

The Elizabeth was everything I hoped: beautiful, old style appointments, attentive service, and exquisitely delicious cuisine. The scallop dish was especially good, and the squash soup particularly flavorful. It was well worth the experience and we will happily return for the next special occasion!

We ate in the front room. Nice table, by the window. The wine list is extensive with good selections. Choose a bottle we both enjoyed. Small bread plate - perfect for two was very good. Shared an appetizer called PUPUSA. It was excellent. I had the lamb shank. My husband had the braised short rib. Both were great. The meals did not include any sides (no potatoes or veggies), which was too bad. These are available as separate orders. Overall we had a great meal and plan to return.
