Today I learned that Home Depot does not honor warranties unless the product was purchased with a Home Depot credit card. Product has 5 year warranty and goes defective after 9 months. Im told that my payment method only gives me 90 days of coverage, while the HD credit card would cover me for 1 year. Unless you have a Home Depot credit card, don't buy anything you care about lasting with cash or your own card as it won't be covered down the road.

The shopping is fine. They do have most everything you need. But, self checkout only is absurd! Do charge premium prices and expect me to check myself out!

I went in just looking for a few screws that would fit a small board (I brought with me to try to make things easier). Made eye contact with several employees who either looked or walked away. I was picking up some items across several departments and I saw at least 10 employees not wearing masks. Social distancing was not enforced, 2 employees walked right up to me. In addition about 50% of guests were not wearing masks properly, which I know they have less control over, however I wanted to post this review as a warning for people like me who would not feel safe in this environment.

I went to your store yesterday to get some basic but essential needs for my home on my only day off this week and the parking lot was full and certain sections of your store we’re shoulder to shoulder. As a health care worker AND someone trying to abide by the rules to get past the chaos, this was super upsetting and disappointing. How hard is it to understand, STAY. TF. HOME. and order your needs online or something.

Ok so I usually don't review a box box store but this is a special situation. The customer service went above and beyond this time! I purchased a colored prelit Christmas tree from the Home Depot. I waited a week before I realized that the top two thirds didn't work due to faulty wiring. When I returned the tree to exchange it for another they were all out of the same priced tree. The staff scoured the whole store looking for one but couldn't find one for me. Feeling kind of bummed I went and picked out the next pre lit tree that had colored lights and it was more expensive than the one I purchased. While the woman was processing my return she mentioned it was more expensive and I said "Yes I know but I'm having my family over for Christmas dinner and would like to have a tree." I know you're all saying I could have found one on the internet but I really feel like supporting local. Even if it's at Home Depot-the employees work and live in my community. I've heard it's said if you spend $1 at a local store then 60 cents stays in that community. After looking again, the customer service staff ended up giving me the tree as an even exchange, I was blown away! Wouldn't you know I misplaced the receipt and only just found it-passed the expiration date for the survey so that's why I'm "Yelping" them. To the customer service staff, you might never read this, but thank you for your incredible customer service and kindness-your gesture made my home feel filled with the spirit of Christmas when my family came over. I truly appreciate what you did, proving it's the person in the orange apron that is the best of Home Depot. As it is with all businesses small and large. Support local and keep your money in your community!

posted on behalf of a friend had ordered a bunch of items from home depot. Now with illness. Dont really have voice above whisper unless i try to force it. I went to counter to pick up order the woman behind counter couldnt hear me. I dod like i have been doing lately i wrote all onfo snd what needed on a piece of paper. She got really rude obnoxious and nasty. By the time i got through the transaction i was pretty much in tears. I try to stay self sufficient but people like that make it very difficult. I was going to complain to manager but cant really communicate point. I despise people like that. They make a difficult situation more difficult. Ok had to get off my chest.

I needed help getting a replacement window for one I had bought there 9 years ago, which had a lifetime warranty. A woman in the window and door dept. said she couldn't help me because I didn't have the serial number which is on paper attached to the sash and which fell off years ago. I did have original receipt. She said she's been doing this 19 years and it's always been this way. Told me to call manufacturer. I eventually got someone at another HD to help me.
