I love shopping at Market Basket. Everything is lower prices to compare with Hannaford or Shaw's. I also enjoy having a quick bite before starting some shopping. $2.99 for a cheese burger and fries, no one can beat that. The taste is not bad at all. They made it fresh as you ordered. I also had a pound of chicken wings to go. It's delicious. And Market Basket pickles are absolutely perfect. Not too sour or too sweet. Had it for a snack, one daily. Shave beef is absolutely my favorite. Save tons of my time from cutting the meat into a small piece. I used it for a stir fry beef and broccoli. It's so tender and super delicious.

Very good deli and produce. The bakery is one of the best grocery store bakeries in town. Fresh sushi and sandwich selection, and there are always good sales. No loyalty customer program or discount card needed.

I love this store & the employees. That being said, I just experienced a shamefully bad check out experience. I wish I would have caught the name of the young man, but he literally put ALL my groceries into one overflowing heavy bag fit to burst and then proceeded to THROW remaining loose items in the cart (even though I had more bags) and then THROW all my loose bags in my cart. I still thanked him and he just grunted. Now I’m not some old boomer Karen who makes a habit of complaining about things. I am very gracious and have worked customer service myself. But when you spend hundreds of dollars on groceries I think the checkout person should not be so rude & careless to the point where I have to repack my own groceries. Like I said, every one else I have met there has been nothing but lovely but this guy needs a talking to and/or a new job.

Very disappointed with bathrooms. Cafe bathroom had a line and when I went to the one in the rear it was clean for not having been checked since 7am according to the sign-off sheet. However it is after 5pm and no one has noticed there is no soap in the men's room. Signs are up saying employees must wash hands but it makes you wonder when there is none.

Love the store but it's always insanely busy. Can't look at anything for more than 2 seconds without getting run over. Even when it's nit around holidays

don't get to visit very often but when we are in the area we make sure to stop by and get their steak and cheese. it's the best. nowhere around can beat it, even the price is amazing. $5.99 for a full size sub it's unheard of and they stuff it with steak. also their fresh sushi, salads, and pre made dinners are always great to grab when we go too

Great selection and decent prices, but the cashier clearly hated her job. She sounded disgruntled when speaking to customers, explicitly told her (presumed) manager how "fed up" she was with her position, and threw my bag of chips into the bagging area after scanning them. I was half tempted just to leave and save her the trouble of my business. Won't be back in the near future, at least Hannaford's self-checkout doesn't give you a death stare.

The prepared food area is confusing with the exception of pizza, have a number system like the deli, but the fried food area is, a free for all.. and the ladies behind the counter are no help , do you need a number for fried food because I witnessed 2 people served for chicken wings and no number, I was told to take a number from a customer in line and she was adamant I do this..while the other 2 girls prepared sandwiches, the other girl at fried food filled bags of chicken tenders.. set up a dividers or a sign saying sandwiches need a number , fried food step on up was very confusing.. just saying

Store is humongous, a trial for older folks. Noticed the drop in temperature towards the back I understand the need to keep the product as fresh as possible for as long as possible but a comfortable shopper would purchase more product having the ease of shopping. Probably will be back. Prices are high everywhere.
