Made an appointment for my Toyota 4Runner ,the work to be done was extimated 3 hrs...new tires, alignment oil change and state inspection along with looking at the CD issues. it took over 5.5 hrs and I would still be there if I didn't keep asking what was taking so long.I have gone to other Toyota service dept in the past and they were efficient and professional. Not quite so with this experience.I won't be going backThe women's bathroom was anything but clean.

If you don't want to read a lengthy review, let's suffice it to say that I live in Lincoln. I drove 50 minutes one way to Downeast for service. Going forward I will be scheduling my service in Waterville and in the long run it will save me time and frustration. I will not use Downeast Toyota again baring absolute necessity. I just this year bought a Toyota (not from this dealership), and was cautioned by family friends that have dealt with Downeast that they had not had positive experiences here. And oh my lord I should have listened. I had my 5000 mile service done here and was less than impressed with the communication, but I was able to just drop and leave my car that particular time. This second visit to Downeast has solidified for me that I will not be coming here again. I had a 10:45 appointment on 11/8 and was not able to just drop my car off so was going to wait for it. It took almost 15 minutes just to get my car checked in. I was told at this point that my standard 10,000 mile service would take roughly an hour and a half. Seemed like a lot, but okay. The shuttle service (which ended up being the only good thing about my experience) took me to Walmart to kill some time which I was grateful for. While I was at Walmart I received a text from the service attendant that checked me in stating that she would be providing me updates via text and if I had questions to text back at that number. Okay, awesome! The shuttle brought me back to the service department around 12:15 and I went to the "guest lounge" to wait. By 12:30 I still hadn't had any updates on my car, so I text the service attendant to see if she knew if it was almost ready. I waited 15 minutes and didn't hear back, so I went to the service check in area to ask for an update. This is when I overhear another service attendant state to a coworker that the attendant I had been working with has stepped out. Okay...that's irritating. It's now been 2 hours since my appointment time, I've received no updates even when I asked, and now the person I've been dealing with has left. So I asked a different attendant behind the desk if she could give me an update as it has been 2 hours since my appointment time and I'd been told it would take about an hour and a half. She took my name, looked up my account, and then proceeded to tell me that my car hasn't even been in a service bay yet. In fact, it was not even next up to be seen. I was shocked and quite angry. I told the attendant I couldn't wait any longer as I had other things scheduled in my day and she rescheduled me for first thing the next morning. My service really needed to be done, but the rescheduling caused me to have to cancel plans I had for the following day. My car did get in the following morning and was serviced after I waited another hour and a half. I am shocked and put out at the company's blatant disrespect for the lives and time of it's customers and lack of communication. I will not be back and would encourage anyone that can get serviced elsewhere to do it. Save yourself the time and frustration.

I just called to ask to make a service appointment and I was having a little bit of a hard time hearing her so the 2nd time I asked her to repeat her self she gave a big sigh and stopped mumbling and I could hear her but at this point I felt so disrespected that me having a hard time hearing her was an inconvenience that I will not be making my appointment there. Made an appointment back in my home state I moved from. I would rather wait however long and do a 6 hour drive to get my cars regular maintenance then ever have that lady speak to me like that again.

Service writer did not record my issue correctly, did not perform service requested, still charged an hour for nothing.

This is where we got my last 3 cars and I had great service each and every time so of course we went back again! I knew what I wanted and although we were offered some other choices we were not pressured into changing our minds. We wanted a blue Prius Prime and that is exactly what we got. Very pleased and would highly recommend William Perry and Rachel Craig and of course Downeast Toyota in Brewer for sales and services. Thank you so much we are very happy with our new car.

My wife tried to buy a tacoma here but they kept trying to rip us off on her trade in! …And their so called financing? More like mafia fees. They also tried to tack on dealer prep fees, along with extra extended warranty nonsense. We went to quirk auto and she bought a Gladiator instead. Much better deal over there, and the overall truck quality is a lot better also. Avoid Downeast toyota like the corona! How is this place still in business??

We purchased our vehicle recently from John Cuskelly. He was great to deal with incredibly patient and worked hard to get us in the vehicle that suited our needs. Thanks again. we'll be back!!

We used the rental services here since we could not get a rental at the airport when we arrived. The staff went above and beyond to assist us and made the process really easy. The vehicle was perfect and the prices were reasonable.

If I could give zero stars I would! Absolutely horrible customer service. I had to take my truck in multiple times for a very noticeable wobble. The first few times I was told there were no issues. The third time I was told there was too much buildup in my wheel well and it needed to be cleaned. I took my truck somewhere else and turns out it was severely out of balance, out of alignment, and my wheels were cupped. I was also missing a few wheel weights. The place I brought it to had no idea why Downeast couldn't diagnose a simple fix. Save yourself some time and money and go somewhere else!

I had a scheduled maintenance check-up that I expected to take 15 minutes on my newly purchased Tacoma. After I pulled the truck into the garage and gave them the keys I went to the waiting room. The service manager that received me then left for an appointment without writing a work order. My truck was moved into the back of the lot and I was completely forgotten. After three hours when I asked what was going on they realized their mistake and went looking for the truck. Once found, it took 15 minutes. Worst service ever!

In our experience, this is a good dealership. We have nothing but thankfulness for the integrity and work of the salesman Ryan Witham there. I had many years of work in sales, and we were deeply appreciative that he simply worked to get us into what worked for us. He had no hesitation to walk through the rain, ask their mechanics questions on our behalf, answer my objections in a reasonable way, and with no pressure at any point. Never was there any of the classic sales lines like, "and so what will it take for us to get you into this car...". Obviously, we cannot speak for any other staff there. However, we are aware that the dealership in general has a very good reputation with the people that we know. We wound up buying a slightly used car and are very happy with our purchase. I often have buyers remorse, but Ryan did such a good job listening to us and helping us find what we needed, that we have no regrets. The car lacked its manuals and he said he would get some for us. We were nearly astonished when new manuals arrived in the mail just a few days later. Four stars instead of five due to what my wife and I consider a high pressure sales pitch from the finance department for the extended warranty. I would advise anyone going to any dealership to do your homework first on extended warranties so that you do not have to make a decision on the spot. That said, this would not be a reason for us to avoid this dealership. We look forward to working with Ryan again, and do not hesitate in recommending this dealership.

A huge thank you to service department! While driving up from N.Y. To southwest harbor I experienced trouble with my 4Runner. Luckily I was able to get the truck in the following day for repair. Jason kept me fully informed as to the status of of the repair during my wait, he is a great ambassador for the service department! In no time they had me back on the road.

Won't lie, im extremely disappointed in how this dealership operates. We live in Augusta and I was emailing with their internet specialist on a car, and she texts me saying they sold the car. Seriously, we were negotiating the car, and not even an hour prior we were talking price you your sales manager. I wouldn't waste your time unless you plan on being at the dealership. There's no integrity with their internet sales group.

Buying our 5th Toyota today. Over the years, we have owned Swedish, American and Japanese cars, some very pricey with great features. However, we have found that Toyota gives us the best value for the dollar. Downeast Toyota treats us great. Thank you Chuck Jameson for selling us another great car. Bob and Barbara Pentland
