Let me start by saying that having our wedding reception at the 1812 Farm was something I had dreamed of for 18 years, since I was only 10. My family and I would visit the Pemaquid Lighthouse every year growing up, and every year I would point out the car window and say “That’s where I want to have a wedding reception after getting married at the lighthouse!” Little did I know, I would eventually have that exact dream come true.
My now husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at the 1812 Farm in September. From day one, the communication between us and the owners and event coordinator Olivia was punctual and incredibly helpful. From the thorough initial tour, to the food tasting where we were made to feel like royalty, to Olivia’s continual help with planning and the ultimate picture perfect wedding day, we were beyond pleased.
Wedding planning would have been far more stressful without the calls with Olivia, a detailed shared Google document, and the fun 3D modeling software for the venue table setup. The catering was excellent- the food was delicious with perfectly tender meat and paired seasonings/sauces. The servers and bartenders were professional and friendly.
The first thing that struck me on the wedding day was how gorgeous the grounds were, with a multitude of flowers and perfectly manicured lawns even towards the end of the summer! I also cannot say enough good things about their bridal suite. Getting ready in such a comfortable place with my loved ones was unexpectedly one of my favorite times of that day.
The Farm also coordinated with our bluegrass band and other vendors efficiently to ensure the day went flawlessly.
Thank you, the 1812 Farm, for helping us host a beautiful, classy, country wedding that couldn’t have been more perfect.

My company Hager Photography had the absolute pleasure of photographing a wedding here at the 1812 Farm just a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great New England wedding experience. The scenery is great, you are very close to Pemaquid Lighthouse, the building is lovely, and the staff is one of the best. 1812's coordinator is such an allstar. You really can't go wrong here!

My wife and I celebrated our wedding here this past September and it was really everything we could have hoped for. The communication with Sarah and Olivia was fantastic, they made sure everything was in order at regular intervals leading up to the big day and were so easy to work with. All of the staff members we interacted with during the day were so kind and hard working, they seemed to really want to go out of their way for us and our guests. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The barn is gorgeous with a rustic charm and beautifully decorated, the grounds are immaculately maintained with amazing landscaping and flowers. The food! The food was the best wedding food i've ever had and many guests said the same. Cannot recommend this place enough for anyone looking to get married in Maine. An absolute gem of a venue with amazing staff.

We celebrated our wedding at the 1812 Farm in Bristol, and it was everything we wanted and more. The venue itself is gorgeous—beautifully maintained grounds that offer a perfect mix of charm and elegance. It rained on our wedding day, but the venue's seamless transition to a rainy day plan ensured that everything went off without a hitch.
A huge shoutout to Olivia, 1812's wedding coordinator, who was simply awesome. She guided us through every detail with such care and expertise, making the entire process stress-free. From the beautiful setup to the excellent food and the airstream bar cart, everything was perfect. We especially appreciated the menu tasting they provided beforehand.
If you're looking for a venue that combines natural beauty with top-notch service, the 1812 Farm is the place to go. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for our special day!

We had so much fun photographing a wedding here in July! I love a venue that has everything right on site - it makes it so easy for the guests and couple on the day to not need to run around. Such a stunning property, amazing food, and just a short drive to Pemaquid Point Light for couples portraits!

We are so happy we chose The 1812 Farm for our special day and would heartily and readily suggest it to anyone looking for a venue. I literally cannot sing their praises enough for how perfect they helped make our day.
The 1812 Farm was the perfect venue for our July 2024 Wedding and we could not be happier with the experience we had working with Sarah, Olivia, and the larger team. The 1812's team is not only super responsive, but extremely helpful as a sounding board. Any questions we had were answered promptly, any ideas we wanted to float were approached thoughtfully, and this team truly lessened any kind of wedding planning stress.
As for the venue itself, it was gorgeous. The flowers were in bloom in the garden where we had our ceremony and the inner venue where we had our reception was so well put together. The 1812 team set all the decorations i provided up for me after I provided an example of what I was going for and that immediately lessened any day-of stress that morning. Both my husband's half of the party and my own had plenty of space to get ready separately in the Bristol Suite on site too, which was perfect. Having prep in the same place as ceremony and reception just streamlined our entire day. I also love that even when the lights were dimmed inside later in the night for dancing, there was still plenty of light to see and talk by and our guests adored the outdoor bar and thought it was super cute.
The 1812 also uses Stone Cove Catering and we loved the ease of building out the menu with the same people we already were in contact with for the venue. It made everything so smooth and we knew there would be no confusion or fuss as meals were served because the caterers are the venue and know the routine and space. Once the party actually started after dinner, I had multiple guests come up to me to rave about how good dinner and cocktail hour apps were- literally so good that multiple people made comments about it right after eating. Can't ask for better than that. And my husband and I were beyond happy with our own meal and the post-ceremony oyster treat that Stone Cove Catering helped us plan for ourselves.
If I were planning this wedding all over, I'd still pick the 1812!

We had our wedding here this past May and it ran so smoothly. We live out of state, and the coordinators and staff were incredible to work with. The venue is stunning, the food was delicious, the staff was kind, and the air stream was a unique touch for cocktail hour. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

If you want to make sure your wedding actually happens, no matter what, have it here! We got married at The 1812 Farm the day of Hurricane Lee; we truly believe this would not have been possible without Sarah and her team. When no hotels, air bnb’s, or family had power or running water, the 1812 Farm had a backup generator that allowed our wedding to go on as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening outside. We know from our other vendors that not many other couples having their wedding that day could say that. The 1812 Farm saved our wedding, made it more amazing than we could’ve ever dreamed, and you should absolutely let them do the same for you.Sarah was in touch with us constantly the week before our wedding, updating us on the weather and preparing us for the inevitable moving of our outdoor ceremony from Pemaquid Point to inside the barn. Her attentiveness allowed us to make this switch days in advance to ensure that we could get returns on our deposits and inform guests of the change with enough notice. She was also extremely helpful and flexible in guiding us through how we would have to adjust the barn in real time from a ceremony setup to a reception one. This transition was so flawless that we doubt anyone even noticed and to this day are still not sure how they did it.The 1812 Farm ensured that the bridal party was able to get ready in a space that had both electricity and running water!! Both our hair and make-up vendors were receiving live horror stories via text about weddings having to move locations at the last minute or do their hair and make-up in the dark. The 1812 Farm even had a shower that we could use since none of the hotels had power - We’re telling you, this venue is prepared for ANYTHING.The staff was also beyond incredible at helping us adjust to the last minute changes. To be frank, there were many last-minute details we failed to coordinate because of the last minute change and general stress of the weather. Sarah and her team were so thoughtful in asking questions about these items and when I just looked panicked, graciously stepped in to say they would take care of making everything perfect. They did. Many of our guests told us they would have had no idea the ceremony wasn’t meant to take place in the barn and commented on how seamless everything looked and felt throughout. If all this hasn’t fully sold you yet, we must emphasize the food. Our wedding was three months ago and still all of our friends and family are talking about the food. Remember, this is a wedding that took place during a HURRICANE... and yet the crab cakes are still the main topic of conversation. We knew when we first started planning our wedding that we wanted the food and drink menu to be really fantastic and to reflect midcoast Maine. Sarah spent a lot of time going over all the different food options and helped us narrow down the right choices for our wedding. Her experience also really helped us to balance our tastes with the necessities needed to make all our guests happy. The Stone Cove Catering menu is honestly a dream and everything on it sounds incredible, but our recommendation would be to try and incorporate the crab cakes and swordfish skewers in some way. We also opted for a lobster bake rehearsal dinner the night before which was not only delicious, but also such a fun and unique experience for our friends and family.Lastly we will note that we looked at a lot of venues around midcoast Maine for our wedding and The 1812 Farm was unquestionably the perfect choice. The barn and surrounding landscape are beautiful and the place is incredibly maintained; Sarah is so knowledgeable and really seems to care about every wedding on the property; and they are so organized and prepared for any wedding scenario you could imagine.

Lovely venue, good food, attentive staff. Was there for a retirement party. But it could be a nice spot for a wedding.

The 1812 Farm in Bristol, Maine is a stunning wedding venue with breathtaking views and delicious food. My family attended a wedding there in September 2023, and we had a positive experience. The barn itself is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of room for dancing, dining, and mingling. We loved the rustic elegance of the space, and our guests were all very impressed. The grounds are also beautiful, with rolling fields and a pond. The ceremony was inside due to Hurricane Lee, and it was absolutely magical. The food at The 1812 Farm is nice, not top-notched as I would have expected. In addition to the beautiful venue and delicious food, the staff at The 1812 Farm was also less than helpful. They were not able to answer simple questions about the food and blocked a guest from entering during the wedding ceremony, the guest stood outside in the rain carrying a baby.Overall, we highly recommend The 1812 Farm to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique wedding venue in Maine. It is the perfect place to celebrate your love with your closest friends and family. Here are some specific things that we loved about The 1812 Farm:The barn is absolutely stunning, with a rustic elegance that is perfect for a wedding. The grounds are also beautiful, with rolling fields and a pond. Some of food is top-notch (some less than stellar), and the caterer is willing to work with you to create a custom menu that fits your budget and taste. The staff could be a little more helpful (constructive feedback). If you are looking for a beautiful and unique wedding venue in Maine, we highly recommend The 1812 Farm. It is the perfect place to celebrate your love with your closest friends and family.

Pretty good venue. Kind staff. A little small but plenty of parking. You might leave feeling hungry.
