About Peace Ridge Sanctuary
Peace Ridge Sanctuary is a remarkable animal sanctuary founded in 2001 in Mid Coast Maine. Its mission is to address animal cruelty, neglect, and exploitation, and to promote vegan ethics in New England. The sanctuary is currently home to nearly 500 rescued farmed animals, equines, and senior dogs from various situations of neglect and abuse. The sanctuary's four shelters are state-licensed and accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. In addition to its rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary programs, Peace Ridge Sanctuary runs comprehensive humane education programs and stewards and protects nearly 2,000 acres for the benefit of wildlife and conservation efforts. Visitors describe the sanctuary as a beautiful, peaceful place where the animals are meticulously cared for and content. The dedicated and caring staff work tirelessly to rescue, heal, and honor the inherent dignity of each animal in their care. Peace Ridge Sanctuary is widely praised as a wonderful organization that does immense good through donations and volunteers, and is highly recommended for those seeking to support a worthy cause for rescued animals.

A sanctuary run by people who truly love the animals they provide a home for. I definitely recommend visiting or helping out in anyway you can to show support for the hundreds of lives this non-profit saves.

This place is the real deal when it comes to sanctuaries! The barns are clean and the animals are very well taken care of. They provide an amazing home to the 650+ animals in their care. Please consider donating or adopting from them!
