Excellent venue. Very intimate (~200 seats). Not a bad seat in the place. Food is consistently excellent, with very large portions. Plan to split a meal. Wide variety of performers, there's always something for everyone. Definitely, it is worth the drive into the boonies to get to.

This is a choice location for attending special concert and arts events, also a top notch location for your special events.

A fun night, even though an hour drive from Wolfeboro,NH. The food is always fantastic and plentiful. The music venue unique with vaulted ceilings, and craftsman post & beam architecture. Much thought was put into the waiting process as there are many small intimate rooms to have a glass of wine and chat before the show starts. We are not supposed to take photos so …..:).

Every visit to SMAC is a joy. The food is wonderful and the venue is terrific. The owners love of music shows in the quality of artists that they bring to this wonderful place.

Pretty trippy finding a venue of this caliber literally in the middle of the woods on a dirt road but there it is! New, beautiful architecture and great music. We didnt eat there but the drink service was great. Good sound and we sat up in the balcony and the view was good from all the tables. The dinner theater aspect does give a bit of a cruise ship vibe vs. edgy night club and the patronage the night we went was largely senior citizens but they were groovin' Non-diners get back of the house & balcony. Show up early - they seat non-diners in order of arrival (its a small venue so we were happy with the second row balcony).

Exquisite venue in rural Maine near the NH border. Food was outstanding. No cell service in the area, so do not depend on a GPS.

Magic. Absolutely magical. I've been to Stone Mountain Arts Center twice to see Griffin William Sherry (formerly of Ghost of Paul Revere) and the experience is unparalleled. It's a spacious, rustic post and beam structure, decorated with a birch tree and twinkle light aesthetic. A beautiful, intimate venue with excellent sound.I think it might say, "If you build it they will come," on the SMAC website, definitely true. You really need to be committed to attending a show here, I believe the website also suggests not trusting GPS to get you there, because it will put you on roads that are "impassable". One driver and one navigator are recommended--lots of twists and turns on dark roads. The venue itself is on a gravel road. The staff is friendly and helpful--we were assisted with parking and seating. I haven't had a chance to have dinner there but hope to--both shows were on work days and we couldn't get there early enough for the 5 or 6 pm sitting. There are no photos with this review because they are a phone free venue, photography is forbidden, and they proudly advertise that anyone with their phone out will be asked to leave. I'm usually not into places with lots of rules but this rule definitely enhances the experience. Can't wait to go back.

Show up early after they open and get the front balcony seats - that is the sweet spot I think...

What an experience! Great bar, great food! A venue where the artists actually enjoy performing. First time there, but not the last time!
